I am Indian
African countries need to take control of these mining companies and ensure that therapy. People get a profit or most of the profits of this gold as well as the diamonds. And everything else these countries are extracting from Africa. Africa needs to charge market price for their raw materials since they don't have access to refining this Gold. Imagine how rich african countries would be if they had all the money that these countries were stealing from raw materials from africa.

@@2nacheki The resources are only a blessing if the resources benefit Africa's people and most of these resources do not benefit africa. African countries need to take control of their own resources. They need to nationalize these minds and take them out the hands of foreign powers. That benefit why Africans do not. Africans need to take control so that they can benefit from their own resources. It is only a blessing if we are the people profiting from it as well.
All that wealth, and still won't give it back to the hard working Peoples from their own country. Makes no sense at all.

I am confused as to why I saw white faces mining gold. I've never seen a brown face cutting diamonds here in the U.S.

Mmh i see East Africa takes the shot, leaving aside South Africa and Ghana. Tanzania leads them. Well i think worldwide Africa produces much much more Gold and it is under estimated maybe because we have poor technology and mostly done by the foreigners. Tanzania is becoming more strick and finding that much of its mining was under estimated. Who knows maybe it will rise more after Magufuli's (president) strict laws. Not so long, they caught some mining at the airport and it was under estimated, weighed again and was double what was being said 😓😓.

Also interesting fact: China, Australia and Russia are the biggest gold producers in the world, they produce more gold than South Africa per year.
We dont need them overshadowing South Africa plus they much larger countries not fair comparoson
