What a ballad. It has the traditional real friends honesty and aggression while walking a fine line of slower yet more powerful dynamics all while still giving cody a proper spotlight of story telling. Cody shines.

Not gonna lie, I’ve been hesitant about listening to their new music because I was sad/bitter about Dan’s departure (since his voice singing their songs helped me get through my teenage years). But I told myself to stop being irrational, that Real Friends comprises of more than just a singer - and I’m so glad that I’m FINALLY listening to their new music. The vibes and lyrics are the same, and Cody brings a new, powerful softness with his voice that I love. Keep on being awesome!

This song hit so hard when it dropped. In the last 2 years I’ve lost my sister, brother, and my fiancé. Life has a funny way of taking everything you care about away from you. And I don’t wanna face it.
You’re not alone, friend. I lost my best friend in November and I was finally doing somewhat okay, and I saw a picture today that reminded me of her last few months alive and it hit me hard. Then on my way home tonight, this song played and it’s one that she would have loved but it was somehow perfect that it played. It does get better, I promise… but healing and grief are not linear and days like today will keep happening, they just get easier to handle over time. Hang in there, it won’t be this way forever. 💙

It's a completely different band. They should really change the name and close the book on the Dan era for good.

@@BREEbreeJORjor89 Emarosa is a fundamentally different band without Jonny tho. You can't tell me Peach Club and Relativity are even remotely in the same state, much less zip code. (for what it's worth, I love both eras of the band)
edit: I think Emarosa could've changed their name for artistic purposes. in terms of what makes them more money, keeping the name probs made sense (& would hold true for Real Friends too)

So.. honestly just found this song a couple nights ago... talk about finding a perfect song for the perfect time in your life. Thank you Real Friends for making such an amazing song! I lost my close uncle last September, I lost my 3 year old daughter this May to cancer..and my granny August also.of this year. I am in a not so great place but this song was a wonderful surprise. Thank you again Real Friends for making such another wonderful and meaningful song!. ( I don't think I've ever commented on a video on RUclips before. )
