if I become a comedy teacher I will create the "bojack horseman speech" exercise, an exercise where you have to talk about someone you hate but respectfully, like they were dead. i think it can be great for improvisation.
you'd think that the knowledge of our impending death would make us more adventurous and kind and forgiving but it doesn't , it makes us small and stupid and petty
Though this was good and a fitting tribute to my favorite episode of this amazing show, I can't give you a like because you skipped my favorite quote. "You know the shittiest thing about all of this? Is when that stranger behind the counter gave me that free churro, that small act of kindness showed more compassion than my mother gave me her entire goddamn life. Like, how hard is it to do something nice for a person? This woman at the Jack in the Box didn't even know me. I'm your son! All I had was you!"
Yeah i started playing it side by side. your pacing is off which i guess is going to happen in a recreation (no big deal there) but you are actually changing the words or skipping over parts which then makes this whole thing feel off. especially since u clearly have papers in front of you with which we can only assume has the words on them, and if not why not?. Stopped 1:15 in because of inconsistencies
I'm glad you liked it! Thank you so much for promoting my work, as a lowly film student it means a lot to know people are enjoying it. And I'd love to be your best friend lol.
Jesus. You just made my night with that comment! I feel more comfortable talking on instagram, so if you can hit me there (@bojachiddenjokes), I have one thing that I would like to invite you to. :)
I am two years late but oh man, seriously great acting. You have a big talent, you truly are a talented person. You were able to portray brutally an animated character. Respect mab
Hell of a monologue. You really warmed up to the performance, good stuff. I was actually thinking just the other day this would make a great one-off monologue for a class or somesuch.
The animation made me contemplate life and existence afterwards, this just hit me right on point. An excellent adaptation, you really captured the character and line delivery of Bojack perfectly.
For some reason this ep resonates with me, what it impacted me the most was the Becker bit (I too watched and was almost hooked and as bojack says it had all the ingredients for a successful sitcom but something was missing, that thing that made it great, maybe a good female costar. ANyway Im rambling...) You idealize your relationship with your parents with in reality is another thing entire. I can totally see where bojack is coming from.
Magnificent! An excellent performance!! I would say the speed & energy could have been lowered, just due to the character you're playing (older, drinking, mostly him thinking aloud). The lines such as "My mom is dead and everything is worse now" would have hit harder that way. But as a younger portrayal of Bojack this is perfect to me tbh.
You have an excellent voice and a good cadence-- a lot of the beats were different from Will Arnett's version but it was still enthralling to listen to. I honestly wouldn't mind seeing a full version of this from you.
Love your cover. It's sooo good. Honestly replayed it a couple of times. BUT ESPECIALLY YOUR LAST LINE. I found it so funny i repeated it like a hundred times XD
We are working really hard to grow. There is some very exciting stuff coming down the pipeline that you won't want to miss out on! Thank you for your support!
What was so great about that episode was that while you understand Bojack's tearing into his abusive late mother, you also understand that in the end it is an unfulfilling conclusion, and Bojack himself realizes that as the episode unfolds as well.
You should have added the background sounds of people leaving too. It's a very minute detail, yes, but, I'm not sure how you missed it, considering the number of times you must have watched it
I love how this episode has become a go to for aspiring actors in auditions and competitions.
Has it really? Then maybe I can practice with it. So I can develop my skills 🥺
I love that too. Truly shows the genius of Bojack Horseman .
@@richardsantanna5398 This and the "Tell me i'm a good person" monologue have essentially become my go to's during auditions.
It's so basic. It's the Starbucks of auditions

Great idea
I'll try this, thanks loll
Thanks for the idea man
That sounds really cool! Like maybe a eulogy for someone you hate
I love the idea, but put an asterisk on it. Like, "don't choose a person who will make you break down just talking about". Just to be safe.
How could you skip the line "I'm your son. All I had was you". That line was golden.
you'd think that the knowledge of our impending death would make us more adventurous and kind and forgiving but it doesn't , it makes us small and stupid and petty
Its important to remember he’s talking to a buncha lizard people right now. Great performance.
The one person who disliked this is probably BoJack's mother.
Well technically 2, so it would be his mother and his father.
@@operaface8119 Now it's up to 32

Mom, knock once if you dislike this video
Because it's not Ibsen...
This scene. The best tv series movie scene so far.
Time's arrow its amazing too
Of what has to be one of the most thought- provoking cartoon TV series so far.

@Saraph Vane he’s obvs not gonna read directly from the paper
@@sofiavarela1845 why not. If he is going to act out a sence about a cartoon actor commenting on actors he should
:/ your free not to. Don’t see why you have to state it ?
This is awesome. This episode means so much to me. And anyone who has suffered from child abuse, neglect and a narcissistic parent ….
You nailed the shock that Bojack has when he realizes that his mom was actually reading a sign and not saying “I see you.”
Why do you look like a 3D CGI character.
jeff jefferson bruh that’s what i thought i was like uhhhh is this animated?? It looks so uncanny
@@BP-to2mq the lighting the lighting is too perfect
I thought the same thing!!
I clicked on this thinking it was animated-
The lighting
I like how Bojack could be anything and still feels realistic and relatable
I see you....are VERY TALENTED. Congratulations for an amazing cover of one of my favorite episodes of all time.
This episode made me start thinking, I'm not sure about what. It just made me think.
I don't know you and I already want to be best friends with you for doing that. Thank you so much. Amazing cover.

You sir are waaaaaay to young to be Bojack.
Still good tho
I got the voice down and the cosplay I made myself
Also not a horse
Hell of a monologue. You really warmed up to the performance, good stuff. I was actually thinking just the other day this would make a great one-off monologue for a class or somesuch.
This is by far the best reenactment of free churro I have seen.
icu part made me cry...
The animation made me contemplate life and existence afterwards, this just hit me right on point. An excellent adaptation, you really captured the character and line delivery of Bojack perfectly.
Great actors can turn this masterpiece of a script into a perfect scene, as we can see here :)
Underrated video all BoJack Horseman fans needs to watch this video!
i'm into this. Are you free for my funeral?

Start a bit shakey, but as you Got starting you became incredible
Whenever I see free churro I always end up watching it to the end.
Nice work. I hope you achieve everything you set out to achieve and more

you captured the emotion very well. 10 out of 10
Thanks for covering this monologue so we can listen to it in full on youtube. It feels very different with your less weathered voice.
aaa, killed me on “My mother is dead now, and everything’s worse.”
I loved the rest of it though...
Damn, this is really interesting!

It feels like Saul Goodman is giving the eulogy
You're an incredible actor
It feels like I'm listening to a sermon on spiraling depression
it's "my mother is dead, and everything is worse now". the "now" goes at the end.
good job with this monologue btw.
Hits different live action

Great performance ! You captured me. One of my favorites moments is at: 08:07
Everyone covering this should put actual bourbon in that flask.
Lo haces bien, man, lo haces bien.
I see no struggle, the huge emotional turmoil was only visible in very limited scenes and
the tone of voice was mainly not up to the occasion
I really like it! Awesome job, dude! 👏
