    Please film horizontal not portrait - much more professional and easier for us to view. Might mention doing this in very early spring allows the new growth to come out and get rid of the brown ends where the leaves are cut. I suggest after cutting and being happy with shape to then go just another inch or so deeper in to allow it to be perfect when the new flush of growth comes.

    I think you mean parallel to your stakes .. perpendicular is at an angle of 90 deg to a given line or surface. Good video though
