Gosh if we miss Andrea and feel like there is a hole in my heart- I can't even imagine how much her family is missing her daily- my heart aches for them - She certainly was a gift to all of us.
It's been two years since Andrea passed on and I miss her. She was such a lovely partner to Tom, and a wonderful mother to the kids. What a lovely legacy for her kids to learn from!
I am in awe of all the things this woman was able to accomplish with so many children to look after and home school. Wow, she had a system for everything and she and Tom were such a good team. Rest easy Dear Andrea. Your husband and children have all these videos to learn from.
Tom, it’s so very apparent how much you loved Andrea in these videos. All the beautiful things that you built for her and your family. I’ve been a silent watcher for years, I found Andrea when she was pregnant with Hannah. At the time I was very sick, and her sweet voice, helped me to relax and would even help me sleep. There were several times that I wanted to thank her for helping me get through a very dark time in my life. The way you met April, there is no doubt that it wasn’t divine, with her being a widow, a Christian, and a homeschool mom. Wow! Sending many best wishes to you and your family.
I vividly remember watching this at 4am one night when I had the stomach flu. I remember laying in bed with 5 blankets over me as I watched Andrea. God bless her and her family. May she be reunited with her family later on in the afterlife for all eternity.
Tom, I found y’all, on RUclips, when Andrea passed. I’m slowly going through videos, here and there. The way Andrea organized was lovely, as was she. The love she had for you all and your home is inspiring. Y’all created such a wonderful home together, both in a physical/visual way, but also in an emotional and loving way. Of course, I know I’m not telling you anything you don’t already know. I pray for you all, regularly. Thank you for sharing your family with us.
I love how ya'll macgyver stuff to fit your needs. Like the coffee cup drawer thingy. I've watched several videos now and I just love how her brain worked. She seemed like a truly special lady.
My thoughts exactly! You're so creative, Andrea! I love how you take an item and figure out different ways to use it to suit your needs! The k-cup organizer, the wrap holder and just everything works perfectly!!! I bet being so organized helps with having all your kids! I'm envious of your beautiful office!
One Thing I Always Admired About Andrea Is How She Was Super Organized And Made The Best Of Every Situation. Where You And I Would See a Plain Canvas, She Saw It As a Picasso Painting. She Was Incredible On Making Even The Smallest Space So Very Functional. I Feel So BLESSED That This Special Angel Took The Time To Not Only Daily Tend To Her Large Family, Husband, Business And Homeschool, But Also Create These Vlogs That Continue To Help. Rest In Beautiful Peace.
What a wonderful example for kids, I bet it feels safe to live in the space all thought through; fell in love with your Family and your calm, loving attitude, Andrea
oh my Dear... I am so glad I watched this... it has opened my eyes up to thinking outside of the box and utilizing space in non traditional ways.... thanks so much!!!!
No; I've always tended to be organized with time, but not with space. After I had Thomas, I decided I had to get it together. I did really well for quite awhile, but after my mom died I never got much of a break. She used to take the kids for me so I could tackle projects, but I never had that kind of time to really dig into things anymore. I've maintained, but it's been much more of a struggle. I really started digging out a couple of years ago, but I started to lose ground after starting RUclips because it takes so much time. Early in the school year I decided I have to finish organizing once and for all if I'm going to get time for all of the _other_ stuff I love and want to do. It's definitely been an acquired skill.
Andrea Mills thanks for taking the time to reply. . I used to be a professional photographer years ago and I quit because it took up so much time from my kids. They would beg me to get off my computer and stop editing the pictures. I know it's so much work. I have gotten so blessed by your videos! thanks for the extra ideas as well. I was telling a friend I visited today how you think outside of the box so well! I love organization but I think I need to buckle down on the kids because they seem to constantly get into my things and I get super upset after the hours of work I did was messed up. Do yours just "know" to stay out of your zones? that's my biggest struggle honestly of having a large family is CONSISTENCY. It's tough but God can equip us and do a work in us. That's my prayer is he is glorified in my efforts. God bless you deary!
Hi Andrea, I love how you organise everything and have every space a usable space. Looking forward to the upcoming video's, thankyou. Hope you all have a great week 😊
Great use of all available space! I too have used wall cabinets for base cabinets, in our bath I have one stacked on top of another one (screwed together) then a base made from 2x4's made to look like one unit (all stained to match and to fit the space) for storing towels and such.
You are so organized! If you ever needed a job, a home organizer would be the perfect one for you. I finally realized why my mom was so organized in the small home I grew up in, 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, living room, kitchen, back porch. She had to be because our home was so small. There wasn't room for storage of any extra stuff. Everything in our home had to be useable. Now I live in a 4 bedroom, 3 bath home and we have so much stuff that is not used. When I retire, we are downsizing to 2 bed, 1 bath home. We have too much stuff that is not important to us. We could get by perfectly well in a smaller home. Thank you for your wonderful, informative videos. I so enjoy them.
I just read the book love the home you have on my kindle. you will love it.it sure helped me a mom of 4 kids 5 years old and under! I normally read right before bed.
For the cubbies next to the snow boots you could get little baskets and put smaller school supplies in it. For example rubbers, sharpeners, paperclips ect. I love you videos and watch every single one. 😘😘
Wow!!!! I don't think I have ever seen someone be so creative with space! Have you always been handy? Has Tom? Have you learned most things through books you have read? I have a small house also but only four kids...you make me feel like if I set it up right, I could have so much available space. I love all the creative touches you guys have put into it as well.
Tom enjoyed doing a little woodworking before we got married, but we both really learned as we needed to. He can do most any job (he replaced all of our pipes, wiring, etc.) and just learned as he went. I've always enjoyed decorating and being creative. I was always painting, re-arranging and decorating my bedroom growing up. As an adult, there have been a few people that were very instrumental in getting me to think differently about organizing. I'd say a short list of those people are Marla Cilley, Julie Morgenstein, Don Aslett and, here on RUclips, Alejandra Costello.
You are so organized!! I live in a two bedroom apartment and we have two kids, I need to be more like you and get organized!! We have just too much stuff?! Lots of toys/books and I craft so a ton of that stuff and i keep lots if paper work and my youngest has autism so I have tons of paperwork for him alone.
Your videos are such an inspiration. I have just started to really organise my home this past week. It looks like the cupboards exploded all over the place but I know it has to get worse to get better. My husband is skeptical of that, but I know he will be very happy when it starts to come together. I play your videos in the background while I do it and I pick up different tips each time I watch one again. It's so motivational and such a big help! Do you have any tips it organising sheets and towels? I feel like 1 sheet per bed and a spare in each size should be enough but growing up my Mum always kept dozens so I an scared to take that leap incase for some reason I need them later. Not very logical really! Thank you for making and sharing these videos, they have made a big impact for us. 😊
What happened to all the boxes on the wall going into the kitchen? It looked like you had about 12-15 if them... the room looks super pretty, I love the colors!
The boxes are in the living room below our dry erase board. On Friday and Saturday I did a first sort through all of them. It's all the sentimental items (pictures, kids' artwork, keepsakes, etc.) that were in the attic. Everything was jumbled together so I sorted through it to get like things in each box. Now I can choose one category at a time to finish the process. I left the boxes near the table to motivate me to keep going.
Wow this is amazing. Could I hire you to come and organize my house lol. I have one child and wish I could organize my house and life like you. Great job
So nice to find your new video this morning? How are you all? Well l hope. :) What a wonderful job you and Tom do organising every little bit of space! l continue to be impressed. Our house is much smaller than yours and l am always challenging myself to find creative ways to store the important stuff! We have just two rooms upstairs and two down, with a tiny bath room and toilet off the kitchen. We do have some attic space we plan to board out and decorate as another bedroom when time allows. My two boys are looking forward to having a room each, after always sharing. It's an on going project that just keeps on going!! 🤗
I think that's one of the pleasures of life - making progress. If you have the time and money to do everything at once, the job is over with and you're left to search for something new to work toward. When you have to work within time and money constraints, it makes the pleasure of improvements last so much longer. Deciding on what project to tackle next and how we can make things work is something we really enjoy together and it's also such a bonding thing as a couple and a family.
Impressive! Everything you organize is impressive! You manage to make the most of every tiny space. Is it hard to maintain? Are the kids good at putting stuff away?
I'm just starting on the last KonMari step (sentimental items) and I found the pictures from when we first bought the house. I though maybe I'd try to do a video showing how each room has evolved over the years. I think it would be fun to see the changes all at once.
A work of art, Andrea! I'm on organization over load...I love it! You haven't left one inch of space unused! And I LOVE your floral curtains...please tell me where you found them? I would love to order some for my home ; )
Do you know if it is still available? Also, did you just "wing it" and make those curtains, or use a pattern? I would sure appreciate the number, if you used one....but knowing how clever you are, I assume you just whipped them up by yourself! You amaze me...I love you and your family
I sewed fabric panels the same size as the windows (inside the frame.) When I hemmed the tops, I turned them down far enough to make a casing to slide a tension rod through. I cut lengths of ribbon and sewed velcro to them so they cold be closed into loops like a belt. I looped them around the fabric and tension rod to hold the pleats in place. (The velcro opening is behind the fabric.) When I need to put the fabric down to close the curtain, I open the velcro and the fabric falls into place. When I want to put them back up, I fold the fabric back up and close the ribbon loops again. I usually only close the one behind my computer; it's a south facing window and at certain times of the year the sun is low enough to shine in making it hard to see my computers screen.
Very clever! My mother was like you...she could look at anything and duplicate it. I, however, like to stick to a pattern! Would you be willing to do a demo on how you made those curtains some day? This viewer, for one, would be SO appreciative. I'm a visual learner...your written directions were excellent, but seeing it done is how I learn best. Do you have a JoAnn fabric store nearby? I notice you usually buy your fabric at Hobby Lobby. I love the way they play hymns over the intercom, don't you? It's always so relaxing to shop there : )
I'm going to come back around to sewing videos some day again, so I'll try to do a demo then. We have a JoAnn about 30 miles away, so that's actually where I usually get fabric. Hobby Lobby is 115 miles away so when we are in the neighborhood I like to pick up some things there since I don't get to go often.
wish I could hire you to help me get hubbys stuff organized. he has 3 closets and the bar in my laundry room is full of his stuff and keeps buying and not purging
Favorites first is my mantra. I establish boundaries (in your case that would mean deciding which closet was going to hold his clothes) and then I'd help him start hanging up his favorite items, starting with the very most favorite, until the closet is full. Then it's much easier to donate everything else because you already know that you have everything you love.
I recently have discovered your videos, and you are my new hero!! Thank you, your videos are a great motivation. My husband and I have 5 kids, and are also in a smaller house. One request please have your husband do some videos on how he built some of ya'lls stuff, so I can use it to motivate my husband!! lol. So many organization videos are too "perfectly" set up I don't even think the poster has children. Your videos are just the real deal! With kids our stuff is lived in and not always looking brand new (Brand new what's that? lol) Thank you so much!
This is the one I got: www.amazon.com/Linon-Sinclair-Executive-Office-Chair/dp/B017NEMSPU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1493779810&sr=8-1&keywords=linon+desk+chair
Oh, I don't mind. Besides the keys we carry with us, there are extra keys for our cars, extra house keys, keys for the lock on the shed, keys for a few friends' and family's homes, keys for a few different locking cabinets and cases, plus a couple that I don't know what they're for and I haven't felt comfortable getting rid of.
At 3:32, where did you get those coat racks? I've looked and I can't find them. You helped me get a custom made shoe shelf. I never would've thought of doing that without your videos. It fits my area perfectly and much cheaper than going out and buying something that doesn't even work well. :-)
She must have been a wonderful wife and mother. Her voice was really calming too. May she and baby Cyrus rest in peace.

This is so useful as a mom of a BIG family. Andrea is so loved and still teaching us through her vlogs.
She was so organized!I'm learning so much about how to have so many kids in a small space.
She was such an inspiration so organized, great ideas which she shared freely
Andrea, who's gonna teach us how these clever organization tips now? you are sorely missed, rest peacefully.
Wow! The amount of stuff that you are able to store and it still looks good is just amazing.

Honestly.. I love the creativity, like how you guys make space out of a small room/house
You forgot to show us where you store the extra 100 hrs in a day God blessed you with ;)
A month of office videos sounds awesome!
Not sure why, but this is my favorite room in your home! Very well thought out, very functional, and very welcoming and homey. :)
Binder clips for gloves- that is GENIUS!!!!! So many good things in this video.
You are soo creative and organized! I get so many good and unique ideas from you.
RIP Andrea.. what a beautiful Godly woman you were..😥😥

Tom is a handy guy to have around :) Love your videos, tfs. Jen
Very creative and organized use of almost every inch of space. Good ideas.
I guess with that many kids every inch of space is important. You are so good at organization. I would be sunk!
Your organizing skills are amazing! You really inspire me to make better use of my space, Thanks!
Wow! I am in awe....
The little shelf I gave Andrea is there on her desk. 🤎 XOjennyinseattle

You are so creative in each space. Very Smart!
I love how you have everything so organized. A home for everything. I dream of this but I am not handy at all. Love your videos.
For the cubbies next to the snow boots you could get little baskets and put smaller school supplies in it. For example rubbers, sharpeners, paperclips ect. I love you videos and watch every single one. 😘😘
your work place looks so cozy and well organizied love it
Love how well organized this is! You did an amazing job of utilizing every inch of space. I wish I had your know-how!!! Thanks for sharing:)

I'm in awe of your organizational skills! Looking forward to more organizing type videos 😃
You organize so well
I wish one day to be as organized as you are. I truly do.
So pretty, personal and as always great use of space:)
I wonder if her menu cards that you, Tom, are searching for r somewhere at this desk or in that card box she showed in this video????
Wow, I have office envy. Looking forward to your month of office videos. :)
You should consider a business doing organizing..
Your house is so beautiful.
You have been working hard!!!
I know and it's causing me to neglect replying to some important people!
you truly motivate me Andrea

Andrea Mills thank yiu for your reply! That sounds like a good system. I think we will give that a go. It will free up a lot of cupboard space too.

Tom, did Andrea have an idea as to how to best organize and you would make alterations or did she all by herself ?

With kids our stuff is lived in and not always looking brand new (Brand new what's that? lol) Thank you so much!
Oops I'm under his profile, I promise this is a woman sending the message. lol
You said that you use notecards for just about everything… Can you show us all the video on how you organize with them etc.?👍🏻👍🏻😄
I was wanting to know about that too!
Please explain how you do life without a purse! I think I would love that freedom!
Here's my video about my no purse method: ruclips.net/video/KI8whqyjBng/видео.html
Andrea Mills Why did I even ask?? You are so smart and organized!! Good job!
I have no idea when you find time to read!
I hope she is doing lots of reading in Heaven! Love and miss you so much Andrea!! 😥
Where did you purchase your desk chair?
This is the one I got: www.amazon.com/Linon-Sinclair-Executive-Office-Chair/dp/B017NEMSPU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1493779810&sr=8-1&keywords=linon+desk+chair

I have to know... what are ALL those keys for? I swear I saw 15+ keys. Lol just me being nosey, hope you don't mind.
👏👍👋
At 3:32, where did you get those coat racks? I've looked and I can't find them. You helped me get a custom made shoe shelf. I never would've thought of doing that without your videos. It fits my area perfectly and much cheaper than going out and buying something that doesn't even work well. :-)
These are the ones I got; I hung up four of them. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0039ZCMC2/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
