Interesting that the USA department of Fakro actually explains something with words about these ladders. All the videos i saw before this one without USA in the channel name (European i guess) just had music as audio. I appreciate the explained details 👍. I ordered one of these today. Until today i had a loose ladder and a wooden plank in the ceiling to get onto the attic. Such folding ladder is much better. Quicker to access and no loose ladder standing in the way anymore.
Looks like a high quality item. Extra clearance of the steps at the insulation is a big safety feature. Not sure I like that locking mechanism; think I prefer the standard cord pull down.
Depends on attic stair size. Without lid you would have max 65lbs. Single person installation is possible. More information you can find here ruclips.net/video/kAe-j_4lmbc/видео.html
Please do not buy this type of ladder it does not self close door and which require special tools to open and close the attic and you are buying not safe deposit box for attic to lock attic to hide your treasures
Iqbal, you are probably used to ladders with hanging pull down string that are, lets say, not a best way to decorate your home. Our ladders are designed for better performance and aesthetics. We have eliminated the string and replaced it with an opening rod that comes with the ladder.
They put a lot of thought into the manufacture of attic ladders. Excellent video, too.

Looks decent. All attic doors should be insulated
If the rest of the house is not insulated yet, then having 1m2 insulated probably doesn’t add much. But it won’t harm of course.
How much does the 10ft. Model weigh? Can one person install?

I am trying to install one of these right now. NIGHTMARE. I challenge anyone to get a drill or screw into the hinge part where it joins the loft.
Ha. I just installed this unit this week. Had the same issue. Had to ise a drill bit extender to reach those
Ya'll need to buy a microphone
Thanks Andrew - we are working on it.
