  • Last September we had the pleasure of being invited to an off-road event held by the guys from Ash 4x4 at Hawkstone Park. This was our second time visiting this site. Fast becoming one of our favourite off-road parks, it has a bit of everything. Hawkstone is suitable for mildly modified 4x4s but it also offers plenty of challenging obstacles for Jeeps like our Wrangler JL Rubicon, with lockers front and rear, lots of torque, lifted and with 37” tyres. This time we were asked to invite some fellow Jeepers, which resulted in a bit of a Jeep takeover. Our friend Stu brought his Willys Jeep. It was great to see it doing what it does best; drive off-road, and Stu was not afraid to use the accelerator.

Great video of a great weekend even if the weather didn't play ball that last evening. I was obviously happy to volunteer so that guy could test his winch 😊

Nice action, watching the willies gave me the willies, I would be telling my child to get out on any obstacle that challenging 🙈

So need to go back here. Man had I known that bog at the bottom of the hill was not that deep I would have so done it. I was worried about the approach into it. But it didn't look that bad
Hope to see you guys again this year 👍🏼

You'd have definitely shown up that Landy and made it in one I'm sure.

    Great video again guys!
To me just show how much better the jeeps are off road compared to the land rover.. was you running lockers on any of those hill climbs or just letting TC do its thing?

We did use the lockers on the top of the very over grown (with frees) hill as there were large rocks to get over on the last bit of uphill. Mostly in 4-low on the transfer box so no traction control in 4-low setting. Just relying on the tyres to grip.
