Russia will not respect a no fly zone over any part of Ukraine. If you listened to Russian leaders, you would not even bring it up as a possibility. They do not want a Korea solution, and I doubt Nato can enforce a no fly zone without risking direct confrontation with Russia. All this was already discussed and dismissed long time ago.
Throughout history when host country has lost western countries enter the scene to get complete control without resistance from host nation. Like South Korean, french in south Vietnam.

this analysis makes no sense.. Russia has never wanted western Ukraine.. These arent Russian and would be too difficult to pacify..

If they are able to do this it will eventually come all the way up the contact line.
I think what Russia needs is to make sure that the Kiev region is part of its sphere of interest and off limits to NATO, whether that means being part of Russia or not.

The "no fly zone" is simply to protect the airports where these F16's will be based.
NATO-bufferzone sounds reasonable. What is their operational range? 2700kms? Max 4-5 hours in the air? I don't know.

The difference between buffer zones is that in one Ukrainians who already lost more than 700 000 men are loosing around a brigade a day, they don't have 2 years time with this tempo, at the "greatest summer offensive" in Rabotine and Herson, they were "just" loosing 600-700 men a day on the entire front. Not to mention war material they can't produce and west apparently can't either. If they want to continue they will need another volunteer like Poland, Romania with some Chihuahuas from Baltics or even France.

The bottom line is that if NATO decides to set up a "no fly zone" anywhere in Ukraine, it would mean overt, direct military involvement by NATO in the conflict. Why? Well, obviously a "no fly zone" requires military force to ensure it remains a no fly zone. This would be by far the biggest escalation we have seen from the west thus far. NATO has totally embraced a mentality of "the other side must suffer total defeat at all cost." The worse the battlefield situation has developed for Ukraine, the more NATO has doubled down on this extreme position. It is such a puerile, dangerous position that NATO has taken. Most of the global majority has recognized the insanity in NATO's position.
How can a no fly zone be imposed without sending NATO forces into Ukraine, or using air bases outside of Ukraine? No, any attempt to impose a no fly zone by NATO will prove disastrous.

Dima you made a basic assumption that NATO has enough air defense missiles to defend against a long assault by Russia and NATO most defiantly dose not have many air defense missiles left. Russia could atrit them with drones and missiles until they are out then their soldiers would be getting blown up.
If NATO had the missiles needed to enforce a buffer zone then it would have given them to Ukraine already.

You are making a mistaken in your analysis. The main point for the initialisazation is that the Patriot systeme will be located outside of Ukraine and protect the Ukraine.
By this location Russia can not HIT the Patriot system.
As soon as the Patriot System or the system in charge of the protection will be install in Ukraine, the Russia have the right to destroy it and it will be the same situaion as we have now.
My understanding may be is to locate the F16 base in this part of the border for the operation protected by the system located in Poland.
The reason is , if the F16 aircraft takeoff in Poland the Russia statemen is to attack all the aircraft field where the aircafts are takeoff to attack Russian soldiers.

It's 128 planes, which consists of 32 swarms of 4 planes divided into 8 squadrons, hence having 4 swarms in each location/squadron. Standard NATO-stuff. Also a reason why some countries by 64 aircraft when they purchase a new type, whereas others only 32.
Only problem is, Ukraines pilots won't be ready until late NEXT YEAR and only about 20 will be ready.
The OBVIOUS difference between the Russian buffer zone in northern Ukraine and the proposed Polish buffer zone in western Ukraine is that Russia isn't lobbing missiles into Polan d every day. Moreover, Russia is able to deploy state of the art air defenses in it's buffer zone and Poland won't have the equipment to do that for several months.

Reznikov used to say that Ukraine was "a de facto member of NATO already", but that doesn't really carryi any weight, it was just his way of trying to talk above his height.

That Ukraine buffer zone you map out would need an awful lot of Patriot Systems. Suspect that NATO would concentrate the Zone to focus on protecting where the F16 squadrons will be based.

Dima dima dima...stick to the facts mate. Nato doesn't have enough Patriot systems to create no-fly zones. No Russia jet will fly in eastern Ukraine as it's inconsequential. But hypersonic missiles to destroy any airbases created or patriot systems stationed.
Don't expect another army to follow the one that will be destroyed in Kharkov...this winter once the ground freezes, Ukraine will be plunged in the dark everyone will flee to the east.
Russia can help the EU to use up the remains of its arms and ammunition.
I've been following this guy for months. He will talk about a town that will fall in 2 to 3 months. 2 weeks later he announces the town has fallen. So when he says it's going to take a year or two, I don't believe him. Ukraine will lose the ability to fight at all and unconditionally surrender before September is my guess

@@Cyclonut96 Yea I know thats what I am saying though even the US doesnt have 100+ flight ready old F16s on the ready to give away. A US airbase has like 400 aircraft in their peak. Even if they tell Ukraine they get these amounts, a supply will take months to be delivered and to maintain over 100 Jets is crazy amounts of work and personnel needed.
I would estimate 5+ crew per jet. With 100 Jets Ukraine just can not run these jets.

How can Poland create a no fly zone? How can NATO create a no fly zone in Ukraine. How many air defense missiles do they even have left? To create a no fly zone it would take all of NATOs air force and no guarantee that would be enough. The buffer zone operation has done exactly what it was designed to do. They stretched out Ukraine's forces further which made it easier for them to advance along the rest of the line. Not only that but Ukraine's daily losses were between 1200 to 1500 men a day. Since the buffer zone opened Ukrainian losses are between 1800 to 2400 men a day.
