The Earth (like most planet but not Venus) has an eliptical orbit and is about 3 million or more miles closer to the sun in December - January then it is in June or July. This means that the amount of hours of sunlight has more affect on temperature then distance from the sun up to a certain point. It is also why the Northern hemisphere has milder winters and milder summers then the southern which is the opposite. For now over thousands of years this will slowly change and reverse over time as the Earth's Tilt Axis changes as well.
Well then we wouldn't have Luna and we would have 9 planets. (Mabye Theia would have life too since it'd be in the habitable zone right next to Earth.)
@@newdoggerlandofficial nah, it would become too far away to get into earths orbit. Maybe a different object would collieded with earth to form the moon. Even then a different mass moon means different tilt, different seasons and life would evolve in a different way
Theia would develop life probably, however due to no moon, life probably won’t be to an intelligence level as we humans are right now, also considering alot of plants and animals would not exist without the moon, so life would probably be wayyyy different than today, and both planets would be, especially considering earth’s tilt would be bad, I mean like VERY bad to the point species would keep on having to move around and stuff since seasons and the climate would be very wacky, but imagining a world where life would actually manage to be intelligent on both planets and those species observing each other, imagine a Cold War but between species on different planets.

@@christyshultz6443 theia was about the size of mars if your saying earth might have hit theia earth is much bigger so it probably would have sent theia flying through the early solar system.
Theia was approximately 0.4 earth masses, and orbited the sun at the Earth-Sun L5 point, one of the two stable Lagrange points. Theia only left that position because Jupiter had not yet entered its current orbit, so it swung closer to the Sun, to about 4 AU, destabilized Theia's orbit, then moved outwards and entered the current resonance with Saturn. Earth at the time was ~0.6 earth masses. The most realistic scenarios after theia left the L5 point would be collision with Earth, graze followed by binary planet configuration, or complete miss. The binary planet scenario is my favorite, as it would be a very interesting alternate history of the solar system topic.
It's supposed to be at one of the Lagrange points. It should be in the same orbit as Earth, but equidistant between Earth and the Sun, so they make an equilateral triangle.

why are people making literally space objets do sus stuff with other space objects
Good job on the simulation. The only thing is I think that Theia was in the orbit of Earth but going the oppisate.
It's wasn't going oppisate some part doesn't in earth orbit but theia was going faster 🤓
Theia is the moon so i dont know why the Theia in the thumb nail is huge
The moon is only parts of debris of theia collected by earth
