Exploring the archeological sites with an expert narration like yours really elevate the experience, thank you for all the research and care you pour into these videos.
That's some beautiful remains of floor mosaic with some timeless images (4:51) and the still-standing dome is incredible (11:00). I'm putting Baiæ on my bucket list… for after people wake up and when the worldwide-coordinated medical coercion ends. Great video!
I am a happy patron of AIRC and Darius’ work. If you are not a patron, please consider your support to his continuing exploration and production of these wonderful videos. Thank you Darius.
As often as I've visited Napoli, I never knew about fabulous Baiae. Thank you so much for presenting this astonishing place I absolutely need to visit soon.
Many thanks- grazie! Sto faccendo un sacco di programmi nuovi- have a look at www.imdb.com/name/nm5193805/ for a list of the recent programs. Going to be traveling all over the Med for a new program this year... So lots of new content coming to this channel. Stay tuned !
Darius this is a wonderful explore of ancient areas BUT..... Please slow down when panning because I nearly got sick you were spinning so fast. Thanks for taking me along.
People, even educated well versed & travelled people, persist in referring to the “Mediterranean” when in fact it is the Tyrrhenian Sea, not the Med at all. Please, please be accurate! The Med is further south, under Sicily.
I prowled around during the early 1960s when stationed at the NATQ HQ in Bagnoil, a Naples suburb. Looks considerably better these days. I lived in the Gaiola neighborhood, Posillipo Quarter of Naples. Since my time the Villa of Vedius Pollio, in the Gaiola, has been excavated and would make an interesting video.
I, too, prowled around the area during my two years tour in Naples (1983 -85). The excavations look much better now. Back then, the area was overgrown with vegetation, and just a trail to walk around. I remember walking into the Temple of Mercury and thinking, "Wow, why is this not better preserved". Somewhere i have a wonderful picture from back then of the inside.
Wait, the sea has receded? Wait, what? Global warming and sea ice melting, and climate warming and too much co2, and too much methane. Greenland is melting, water is encroaching on all shores. I so confused. I’m gonna pray to Diana.
I love the terraced layout. What an impressive sight, and thought-provoking: With tourists gathering like this there must also have baan a lot of noise. It sounds like a place for party and not for relaxation.
@@DariusArya I hope to have a car again to make a longer journey by car to Italy in 2025 or 2026. Then hopefully the "Il Plástico" model in Rome will be re-opened too. I just watched your video on it. I love such models. It would be great to see in in connection with a visit to the Forma Urbis.

Noted!
This is so intersting, i did't even know that there is a place called Baiae in Italy. I will put Baiae on my bucketlist now.
Awesome...rare location.
Exceptional!
Antyczna architektura zawsze powoduje mój zachwyt oraz historia z nią związana
Excellent Vegas analogy considering the world class spas on The Strip especially Qua at Caesars with the Roman tub room and Mandalay Bay's spa!

Outstanding content, best anywhere!!
Hope to go there
After all these years your videos are still amateurish looking and the narration chaotic. Yet i still like it and watch it.
Is it possible for you to quote some ancient documents relating to the sites.
Wouldnt Palm Springs be a better analogy or Malibu perhaps?
The Bay of Naples. No superlative does it justice.
Very good content, should have a million subscribers.
Let's get there!
Interesting no temple of Neptune there?
Just when you think you've seen everything.
It was on my bucket list but with with the temple of Diana and the upside tree, it goes higher in the list now.
Such an odd reality!
Darius archeological digs rules.
Talk about echoing, cool

Yes, the waters of the bay have receded due to seismic activity in the area. Remember, the whole area sits above the Sulfatara Caldera.
Excellent comprehensive video of that site ... danke ...
Glad you liked it!
This is so cool !!!!
So cool..wow

These days it’s usually empty! But worth a visit!
