I just received over 20lbs of sheep‘s wool. I also have a beaver pelt that I’m going to be making mittens out of this winter. Your mittens video is how I’m going to fashion the inner liners, by felting the wool in that pattern. Question, one of the items you used is a “net.” By net do you mean window screen material or was it some other kind of netting? Great videos!

Window screen netting works perfectly for this project. :) you can also use Tulle or organza fabric if you can't find rolls of window screen rolls.

Screen net or organza fabric works great for this project. Thank you

Lovely! What are the dimensions of the plastic resist that you used?

What are the finished dimensions of the scarf? Just wondering the % of shrinkage you allow for. Thanks.

Hi Sorry for late response ,I’m in the middle of moving right now. I can’t find that scarf , but on average shrinkage will be from 10-30% depending on how well the piece felted.

I may have missed it, but what happened to your dyed silk in the felting process??
    Thank you

It get absorbed by the wool fibers. Because silk is so light wool fibers connect with it .

When did you layout the pink colored roving? I saw you layout 2 layers of gray only. Can you pls tell me the layout. I would like to order same color of roving and make this. It is beautiful.

Thank you for watching the movie! And sorry for late respond.
In this scarf I was using some leftover of wool rowing from previous projects.
This was an Italian wool from www.dhgshop.it/index_eng.php Because I use what was left it is no particular patron.
But you can use any fine 19mcr wool rowing.
In this case I only use a machine fo combining the wool (on low speed) but if you are more familiar with rolling your scarves you can do it too.

It’s no layout I use leftovers of my rowing and improvise it.If you watch a video again I gave the dimensions.

13:58 before this part everything was working fine while I was doing this it looked amazing but everything got destroyed while washing it in the water so NOW i LOST a lot of material on this. So if there is any secret to succeed this, you should share because this did not work. 😒👎

Sorry about your negative experience. I would recommend starting with making Nuno Felting sample to get used to material first. I have a video How to make a Nuno Felted sample. It’s no secret you just have start with simple projects.Good luck!
