Smith Mountain Lake State Park Virginia

This is a drive-through review of Smith Mountain Lake State Park Camping, Fishing, and Swimming in the mountains of Virginia. We had a great time camping there during May of 2016.

Thanks for the video of the beach area. I remember as a kid I almost drowned there during summer camp. Good times. I haven't been back to the beach in so long. Looks the same as it did all them years ago.

I lived near there but moved away in 2008. I go every year in my RV now. Love the area.

All i can remember is, i have to take 3 lefts then a right then straight and then im lost.

Great video! We have a 33ft boat and a camper. Considering making the 6 hour drive from PA out for a long weekend next year. I read they have cabins and docks which make it temping to just pull the boat. Did you see them?

I don't know why I'm not getting notifications when people post. I can't recall the cabins so I can't comment on them. I'll be going back this fall and will have to watch for any.

You mentioned potable water and no use for it, Potable water is what you put into you rv tank for sewage.

I’m unsure about that. I don’t recall seeing any though in all the years we’ve been going.
