- Early in April of 2017 I had an amazing opportunity to meet one of the best film composer of all time; James Newton Howard. He allowed me to use my camera and record his talk. 🎬
I was so busy working on myself for the rest of the year, that I had literally no time to even go back and listen to his talk again. 💪 Now before Christmas, I decided I want to share a little bit of what he taught me with you! Stay tuned! 🎧 🎵

A movie without music is like a human being without soul...Thank you so much Mister James Newton Howard!
JNH is a genius!!
This man is simply the best.
the best composer...jeams Newton Howard it s the maestro!
Oh maaaaaaan!!! I second, third, and beyond the STOKED-ness re: the likely release of the rest of this fab footage! Thanks for sharing this bit! AMAZING!
Quote: "That's kinda the way it goes, you know?" Yep, we know (LOL) but what he showed in 120 sec takes me about 120 hours...and even then.
My deep respect for JNH, wonderful personality, great composer.
Actually, the best art is done quickly. If you overanalyze it becomes less and less unique, and add's filters the more thought you put into it. You have to trust the creative spark or else you will ruin your peice by spending too much time on it, and hating it in the end. There's a certain playfulness that is an important component of composing music. Unless you're talking about mixing/mastering? Because then I get you lol..
This is brilliant!
Goosebumps
Any updates on when the full video will be released?
The teacher & the apprentice. You're next in line Borrtex

I will upload ASAP. But might take a while since I want it to be proffesionally edited etc.. It needs to look good!
Fantastic! Thanks, I'm very much looking forward to it! Did he focus on Snow White or did he demonstrate cues from other films?
Lawrence Whitehead He showed a bit of Snow White but mostly he was talking about Fantastic Beasts. He showed us some versions of opening titles etc... And then he talked generaly about scoring.
Are you releasing the whole thing or just wanted to show off? =P
Haha! Of course i'm just showing off!! No, really; I will be releasing the whole thing eventually, but right now i'm super busy with my high school exams, so no time for anything... But soon!!
That's awesome! Please do share and good luck on your finals =)
