  • Early in April of 2017 I had an amazing opportunity to meet one of the best film composer of all time; James Newton Howard. He allowed me to use my camera and record his talk. 🎬
I was so busy working on myself for the rest of the year, that I had literally no time to even go back and listen to his talk again. 💪 Now before Christmas, I decided I want to share a little bit of what he taught me with you! Stay tuned! 🎧 🎵

Quote: "That's kinda the way it goes, you know?" Yep, we know (LOL) but what he showed in 120 sec takes me about 120 hours...and even then.
My deep respect for JNH, wonderful personality, great composer.

Actually, the best art is done quickly. If you overanalyze it becomes less and less unique, and add's filters the more thought you put into it. You have to trust the creative spark or else you will ruin your peice by spending too much time on it, and hating it in the end. There's a certain playfulness that is an important component of composing music. Unless you're talking about mixing/mastering? Because then I get you lol..
