- Come behind the scenes with us in Industry City, Brooklyn for a sneak peek at Utrecht’s innovative CMY Color Mixing Trio-just added to the Artists’ Oil range.
What’s behind these colors and why do they matter?
🟡 A UNIVERSAL COLOR MIXING SYSTEM: CMY = Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow. This simple yet powerful system is universally understandable and essential for artists.
🔴 BRIGHTER, CLEANER MIXTURES: Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow are the only colors you need to create stronger, more vibrant secondary tones. Mix brighter greens and more vibrant purples
without the need for additional warm and cool colors.
🔵 BUDGET & BEGINNER FRIENDLY: Color mixing is a major challenge for artists. Our team developed this system to show that you DON’T need to be an expert or own every color to create a full-spectrum palette.
🎨 Special thanks to artists Joe Gyurcsak and Megan Euell whose work we featured here #blickartmaterials #utrechtpaints #paintfactory #newprimarycolors #primarycolors #oilpaint #paintinginnovation #colorcreation #paintingpossibilities #createwithblick - Хобби
These look so stunning ☺☺
I definitely am going to test them. I might be replacing my primaries with these new colors👍😃
Fantastic! These were formulated to give the maximum mixing solutions in an efficient triad, so they should produce virtually any mixture you need!
Why do those cyan and magenta look like regular red and blue to me? Are they just that pigmented?!
Unfortunately the ambient lighting near the roller mill makes the colors appear warmer than they actually are. The shots of mixing color on the palette are more true to the actual hues.
