Peta these tutorials are simply wonderful! Not only do you explain your process flawlessly, you are patient with your color development and make it so easy to follow along. I have watched almost all of your videos and have become better just because of you! Coloring is still a bit stressful because I would love to produce works of art like you do, but I'm sure with practice and time, and more of your videos, I will slowly get there! Thank you so much for sharing your talent with us. Much thanks my dear!!
I absolutely love your tutorials. I came back to this one because, of course, I've pulled out all of my Christmas books. You are so good at explaining not only how to apply the colors, but why. Thank you for taking the time to make these videos.
Wow, the golden highlights really make this image pop, especially on the trees on the left. Thank you for sharing your beautiful work, I hope to develop your instincts for color some day!
Thanks you so much for this video. I recently purchased some Christmas colouring books and I am having trouble with the snowy areas. I will find the equivalent Prisma pencils to match your Polychromos pencils.
Peta, what a great tutorial! I have always been a Copic person, but since i have started working with colored pencils and coloring books, it's been a real challenge. Your tutorials and coloring are helping immensely and, on top of that, it's so very enjoyable watching you color. Thanks for sharing your talent and time.
You and me both. I spent years working only with copics and photoshop and I have an obscene copic marker collection. It has been interesting learning how to use coloured pencils. I'm currently teaching myself watercolours.
Love the way you do it I never new really what to do colouring snow Naturally one things of white But thanks to your tutorial i do know how to colour snow I love kerby rosanes books and currently working on Fragile world Greetings from Australia 🇦🇺
Thanks again Peta for sharing your experience and talent with us. Like one of the earlier comments, I'll be noting the colours you used. They work brilliantly..
This video was incredibly helpful with values. I didn't not use the blues you suggested but I used grays and gray blues instead. I loved your instruction because I wasn't sure exactly how to shadow. It is so intimidating for me. You made it less nerve racking!!😂Thank-You so much for your instruction!! Your finished picture is beautiful!!❤️
Thank You again Peta, i have a request for you, has whe are on the Holliday seasons whe do lots of Christmas trees with snow, i would love if you have time a quick tutorial on how to do both the tree and the snow on. Big thank's Peta! Have a wonderful Holliday seasons xx
Like always I LOVE IT and thank you again for the video. I was way off on the snow and it is my opps. page LOL, I did copy it off before starting it the first time and now I know how to do the snow. So glad your back and Smiles Always from WV, US.
Hi Peta, love so much your tutorials they always very Helpful and easy to Follow, i love this amazing scene you've colored it's just Perfectely well Done has usual, thank you for the great tutorial Peta!
Wonderful Peta! I use Inktense with a Tombow blender in Kirby's books. I just can't get Polys or Prismas to look right on that paper. You though, can make anything look good!
Do you know I'm not especially fond of Poly's on this paper either. I kind of like using cheap Colleen pencils or the Australian brand Black Widow pencils. They seem to have the right amount of softness and bright colours.
Hi PETA, everyday I sign on to YT, you are the one I look for first. As always, another great tutorial. I so which you would have done this whole page a tutorial, but, I won't be greedy lol, I'm happy with what you did show us. Thank you so much xoxo.
Hi Keni. This double spread took me over 20 hours to do. I'm afraid a colour along tutorial would probably run over ten episodes. lol. I try to stick to single pages for my colour alongs for that reason. (IT would have been fun, though.)
Thanks for your suggestion about using Tombows and then using pencils over it. Having the background color down and shading with pencils would also limit the time it takes to color a picture. Colored pencil can get tedious at times.
Hello Peta!! I am youre number one fan!!! But really though, your videos are the best for adult coloring so you are my favorite for the tutorials!!! I have Kerby's Mythomorphia and I love Johanna Bashford's works the best and you do a lot of work I love in the same books I like; enough about that I would like to make a request and ask if you could do some more tutorials in the mythomorphia book because I dont find too many with those and you have a knack for doing the best with tutorials..I could make a suggestion with one as well..i know it's a fairly new book; if you could do one i would really feel honored and appreciate it very much!!!! Happy Coloring...Christina!!!
As always your videos are great and very helpful. In other videos you have mentioned how you love your Tombow markers. How do you use them since you can't shade or blend them in the coloring books? A long time ago I was very disappointed not to be able to use my water media or alcohol blenders. I have used the clear gesso but that is messy and does change the colors somewhat. Maybe you could do a video on how you use your Tombows. Thanks for your many tutorials.
I agree. Tombows work best on paper made for watercolours as you can do all the interesting washes and blends. With colouring books the paper lets the pigment sink into it really fast so that limits what you can do. For that reason I rarely use Tombows except in my original work using suitable paper. In colouring books I lay down flat colours with them and then add depth and highlights using pencils. Prisma Premier or other soft pencils are best for this.
je viens de découvrir votre site et je suis ravie. merci toutes les explications que vous prenez le temps de donner et de bien préciser le nom et numéro des crayons de couleur utilisés. Pour une débutante comme moi c'est un régal car je peux suivre plus facilement. merci
Fabulous tutorial as always. Thank you. I wonder though, how will you color in the flat area beside the lady? Do you just leave it white perhaps?? Thank you for your consideration. :)
Dione Harbour people have made "converter charts" for different colored pencil brands. You can find them on Etsy and various personal websites. Let me know if you need a recommendation.
Dione Harbour Colour with Claire has a conversion chart on her website for free. So try downloading that, you should get the equivalent colors in prismas.
Thank you Ladies for your help! I currently am working off my cell phone as I don't have a computer. I will be looking for one of my friends that will let me do this. I really appreciate all of your help!! THANKS
I find the music very distracting and irritating. Your instructions would be better received if you would please illiminate the music from your videos.

thank you so much 🤗
Thank you!! Do you know the Prismacolors that would match? I don't have any Faber Castels. Thanks!
