Whatever. But the barrel length does matter, it classifies the gun. In the AR world an ar15 with a 20" barrel its considered a full length rifle. With a 16" or 14.5" barrel its a carbine. With a shorter barrel then 14.5" its pretty much an SBR (even though any barrel length under 16 is an sbr at least in the civilian world still a 14.5 barrel is really a carbine)
