  • This is the 2nd video in a multi-video playlist where I coach my Division 2 clan mates to better leverage their game time to maximize the total resources they can acquire. We will spend a MULTITUDE of Materials on upgrading our builds, by means of: Recalibrating, Optimizing, and gaining Proficiency and Expertise in our: Skills, Weapons, and our Brand/Gear set items.
Experience we earn translates into SHD Levels on Keener's Watch → SHD Levels translate into Scavenger Points → Scavenger Points translate into Materials and Other Resources → Materials and Other Resources translate into better: Skills, Weapons, and Gear Items that we use in our Build Loadouts.
In this video, I walk you through the preparation steps of what I like to call "4th Agent Farming." 4th Agent Farming is when we replay the Warlords of New York Expansion DLC on story mode, with a newly created agent. At the end, of the Keener Manhunt, we acquire Keener's watch as our own. And if our player account already has an Agent with Keener's Watch, then our 4th Agent inherits the same watch level, complete with all the SHD Points and Scavenger Points that we can RE-SPEND.
You will want your main agent to have Keener's Watch with at least SHD level 1000, in order to make 4th Agent Farming of NYC worth your time. The higher your SHD Level, the more you will benefit from this farming technique.
I have posted a separate wrap-up video after I complete my current run of NYC here: • Division 2 - 4th Agent...

Discussion Responses worth compiling. (I'll edit this time-to-time.)
NOTE: I'm not a pro RUclipsr. I post videos to help friends and clan mates. I don't own editing software-my videos are all UNCUT, UNEDITED. Whatever happened that day actually happened as you see it and I'm talking over the video in real time without any script. That means I won't always add all the nuance to the conversation in the video.
    1. We leverage 4th Agent farming 100% for acquiring Materials, nothing else!
    2. In 4th Agent farming, we acquire Materials by RE-SPENDING all the Scavenger Points (SHD Levels) we previously earned on our Main Agent (-800 SHD levels for Agent Upgrades).
    3. Since 4th Agent farming takes place on Story Mode, it is HIGHLY UNLIKELY we will pick up any YELLOW gear at all-the item drops will be mostly blues, greens, and purples. Therefore, there isn’t any point wasting time on things like improving our Recalibration Library while we are 4th Agent Farming NYC on Story mode. It's really one huge speed run, but we do need to reach Agent Level 40, before the game will let us start the Liberty Island Ferry mission to go kill agent Keener. So when you speed run NYC, you need to acquire approximately 1.5 Agent Levels over-and-above the experience you acquire from completing the Manhunt Objectives and Castle Clinton Side Mission. Basically you need to capture all the control points in NYC, and complete about a half dozen encounters (Territory Controls, Public executions, and so on). So work your way around the map as you follow the Manhunt, but also farm each encounter (that pays a large pile of experience at the end) while you work your way around the map.
If you have NEVER played The Division 2 before, then this would be the overall process I would recommend to you:
    1. Slow-play the original DC game (one time only) on your MAIN AGENT, progressing from Level 1 through Level 30. You should play the original game content one time the long way (without boosting directly to Warlords of New York) so that you get the story of the game, find all the drops that you can ONLY acquire during some side missions, and just get your money’s worth for playing through all the game content.
    2. Progress past Level 30 through the DC World Tiers by completing all the DC strong holds on Story Mode. While you do this, work on creating one Level 30 Build Loadout that you find effective for completing difficult missions. You will keep this Level 30 Loadout FOREVER. You will re-use this Level 30 Loadout each time you 4th Agent Farm NYC on Story Mode (like I did with my Level 30 build in the video).
    3. After you have completed a decent Level 30 build and raised all the DC World Tiers and completed all the Story and Side Missions in DC, only then should you take your Main Agent to NYC and complete all the Story and Side Missions of Warlords of New York.
    4. After your Main Agent kills Rogue Agent Aaron Keener in NYC, and you keep his watch, your main game objective is raising that watch to SHD Level 1,000+. So do these things:
    A. Set your map difficulty to Heroic.
    B. Turn on as many Directives as you can handle with your current gear and gamer skills.
    C. Stop being a pansy and turn on one more Directive over-and-above what you set in B. above. I’m being 100% serious here, if you NEVER challenge yourself to the point where you get your own ass kicked once in a while, then you are stunting your own growth in the game. “If you ain’t dyin’, then you ain’t tryin’”-Cosmic Raven
    D. Farm your Ass off-watch my video on farming SHD levels: ruclips.net/video/k7Lay6gWxNs/видео.html
    E. This is the stage of the game where you work on: completing your Recalibration Library, acquiring good gear, and raising your SHD Watch Levels up.
    5. After your Main Agent is SHD 1K+, create other agents on your player account (Agents #2, #3, and #4), and take each agent through Warlords of New York on story mode as I discuss in this video. Here are the benefits you get:
    A. You get to RE-SPEND 200+ Scavenger Points on Materials each Story Run through NYC. The higher above SHD Level 1,000 your Main Agent is, the higher above 200 Scavenger Points your Agents: #2, #3, and #4 will have to spend on Materials.
    B. You now have 4 x Level 40 Agents, which means you get to RE-SPEND each Scavenger Point you earn on your Main Agent 4 times (one time for each of your 4 agents). SHD levels are shared across all agents who are above level 40 and who have unlocked Keener's SHD Watch.
    C. You now have 4 agents with which you can complete the Weekly SHD Requisition Project 4 times per week, which yields 4 easy Exotic Caches per week. You can also complete the Weekly Legendary Mission and Weekly 30 Summit Levels Mission 4 times each week for an additional 8 Exotics per week.
    6. From this point forward, you should alternate your game play as follows:
    A. You farm on your Main Agent to gain experience, loot good gear, improve your Recalibration Library, and so on (oh and just have fun!).
    B. Whenever your Materials are running low (especially: Field Recon Data, SHD Calibration, Faction Tactical Assessments, and Carbon Fiber), then you delete your 4th Agent and REPEAT another Story Run on NYC to get a brand-new Keener's watch with which you can RE-SPEND all your Scavenger Points on the Materials you need (-800 SHD levels that go into Agent Upgrades).
    C. OPTIONAL and ADVANCED: Within the same 24 hours, you can farm all your DC control points on Agent #1, then jump to Agent #2 and farm them all again, then jump to Agent #3 and farm them all again. The reason you switch agents is that you get to RE-LOOT all of the Control Point Treasure Chests (as well as all other loot boxes and lock boxes in the game) within the same 24-hour period. Otherwise, you would need to wait until the nightly server reset, in order to re-loot these things on your Main Agent again.

This was in my recommended videos. I'm glad I found it. By far the most helpful Division 2 video I've watched. I just did my 3rd and 4th character following these steps. Thank you so much!

Fantastic explanation, I want to add a couple more pieces of advice. First, if anyone needs to put together a build to farm WONY and you are starting with nothing, this is the perfect time to get set up. Once you've done the level 1 mission and get to DC and boost to 30.. stop. Don't head off to NY yet. The holiday event active right now has the loot goblin (The Hoarder). You can very easily get him to spawn and die and drop loot over and over until you have whatever basic build you like to play as, skill, dps, whatever. The gear isn't perfectly rolled, etc but you can get setup with very little effort but time is running out until next year to get this super easy farm knocked out. Not super exciting, but very efficient and will drop mods, gear, weapons, holiday specific items. Second, there is an alternative but tedious way to farm level 31 gear is at the control point "breadcrumb". At that control point, there's 1 enemy that is guaranteed to always drop a high-end piece of gear (never a weapon). That enemy is the one with the round shield who jumps down from the top. So you need to run directly from Haven to the control point, kill that enemy as quickly as possible, grab the gear drop and log out. This puts you back at haven and you can repeat it until your eyes bleed. To my knowledge that only works if you do not defeat the control point, so again you have to be quick, kill that 1 NPC, loot and log out before the attackers take over the control point. ruclips.net/video/RIvZQYCKfIY/видео.html

You can skip the 4 investigations and go straight to the locations of the safe-houses (use Division 2 Interactive NYC Map as reference). That way you'll speed up the process.

Really I didn't know that. Will it prevent you from doing keener in anyway?

      @SubToReality42 7 месяцев назад

If you have a 40 friend join you when you land in Haven they can fast travel to the safe houses and you travel to them and unlock all 4 and skip a ton of running. No side effects to Keener. Also they have fast travel to 2/4 main missions and the final keener mission saving even more pointless running.

You can now mark all specialization side-arms as junk and deconstruct them to save space. You'll just not getting any resources for them. They changed that in a recent update which is excellent. They are just useless space-holders. Also, thanx for an awesome video. Very informative!

Actually, Specialization side arms do not really consume any space (at least not on Div 2 for PC). While they do "appear" in the inventory, they do not actually increase the numerator of the Inventory fraction (nn/150).
A similar thing happens with the Level 1 Ruthless Exotic you saw in my Stash-it doesn't increase the numerator of the Stash fraction (nn/300). However, if I were to move that Ruthless Exotic to my Inventory, it would count as 1 item out of 150.

Counter point, the time it takes you to buy and sell mods to get printer filament you could run an entire other character through WONY faster. Don’t waste your time if you are 2k+ SHD, net negative gains there. I don’t argue the math, spot on, however the time to buy/sell isn’t worth it. Screw watching a movie spamming spacebar, V to mark them all junk, deconstruct… for 600 at a time, rinse repeat. Just buy them directly and run another through WONY if you need more. Even with macros this is painfully slow to do.

You can complete NY in 2 to 3 hours solo. Turret and drone combo will delete all of NY. Pick up skill core pieces as you go. The point is to RED out your watch and materials. I see people take hours setting up builds to take into NY. But after like level 35, 36 you dont have enough armor to complete the content with easily. By that time i have kill 3 or the Rogues. Trust me try it

I have actually killed Keener with only my level 30 build. However, I DO NOT recommend it. Since, you MUST be level 40 to even get on the ferry to go run the Liberty Island mission to Kill Keener. At that point you can pull any gear from your main agent to your 4th agent. I just keep a few pieces (32, 33, 35, 37, 39) to swap in and out of my level 30 build as level up to increase the armor as go. But having a build the player is comfortable playing with will always speed up the process of a NYC story run.

I really like this video... my question.. I tend to create a wony run character. Do the tutorial and then boost to level 30. Do I try to max out the Recal Library or it doesnt matter?

Nice vid but no one needs to do all that prep. Just boost to Warlords and equip whatever you pickup that’s better that what u already got. Call for backup and people will show up to help you finish missions. Once you hit lvl 40 change your gear to items from ur stash and use the Scorpio on Kenner.

The M870 loaded with the shock ammo you can pick up before the Keener fight also makes short work of him if you don’t have the scorpio yet or are too lazy to swap one off another character (like me). 😏

Your browser has a little button that looks like this → [X]; you'll find it above every browser tab. If you don't like the content, you can just click that button and it will all go away. Isn't that amazing?😀 So just get on with closing the browser tab don't need to hear your snide comments either. At least I posted something constructive. What did you post?
