Hey man can give some advice or do a video on how not to get stuck on the grass flats? Wade fished in de soto for the first time by the mangroves/oysters beds. I didn’t realize that it was like quick sand, so i was kinda sketched to go deep in case something happen. Thanks in advance! Great content as usual!
That’s a good idea bro, might have to do that. Sometimes you just have to test out the terrain, some grass flats are a little mucky where you sink in but not enough to worry about, others are firm sand and some, like that area at Fort De Soto (I think I know where you were) are almost unfishable. You can tell a lot from satellite imagery but it never tells the story whole story.
First time commenting. Really look forward to your vids, Matt.
Really appreciate that Chip!!
wanna fish weedon sometime i have a flats boat
@@petep670 I don’t live in the area any longer!
Always fun watching!
Appreciate you brother!
Love your videos. Quick question: where do you keep your wallet and car keys?
Wallet and keys in my chest pack, which is waterproof! It’s a lifesaver. Simms Freestone Chest Pack 👍 Thanks for watching!!
Tough out there! Stay safe!
It is bro, thank you. Can’t wait for some cooler weather!
It’s getting sketchy out there for sure. I find myself looking at paddle boards and kayaks more and more after each session lately!
Amen brotha! I’ve been eying a paddle board for sure. Would be key to fish from one this time of year and in winter spring fall use it to get to wading spots otherwise unattainable. Kayak is a ton of work imho but certainly an awesome way to fish.
@@SpaceCoastFishing we’re on the same page with that. The kayaks are amazing, but you really need a lot of time IMO to make it worthwhile. I went with a friend last weekend and there was at least 30mins plus wasted getting unloaded/loaded rigged/unrigged. I only get 3 hours or so per week, so those 30 mins are important to me. Having surfed in the past, I feel like I can be on/off the water in the same amount of time as wading with the paddle board. Actually, would prob get more time fishing bc instead of wading out to a spot you would be paddling there. I know of at least a couple L2 Fish rental options nearby our area, which I plan to try in the near term to test it out
You almost became the bait of choice on todays fishing report!
Great video. What smith sunglasses are those?
Thanks! Smith Longfin polarized with brown lenses.
Enjoyed the video and sage advice regarding summertime wade fishing. Keep up the good work.
Thank you Dave!!
