Space Coast Fishing Experience
США
Добавлен 2 фев 2021
Welcome to Space Coast Fishing Experience, located on the beautiful Florida Space Coast. My name is Matt Stevens, and from my home base in Melbourne I’ll be doing a ton of surf fishing. I’m a veteran outdoor writer and shore, pier, and wade fisherman with more than 15 years of saltwater experience. For almost a decade, I was known as the Man on the Pier and wrote a weekly column dedicated to pier fishing. I’ve published hundreds of how-to fishing articles across print and digital media, including the Charlotte Sun and freelance work for Florida Sportsman Magazine.

Warwick Paradise Island Bahamas All-Inclusive Adults Only Resort: Worth the $$$?

Review of the Warwick Paradise Island Bahamas all-inclusive, adults only resort! Find out if this resort is the right choice for your vacation. Warwick is what I would describe as a "value" all-inclusive resort as opposed to a luxury resort. But that's what makes it a good deal. And it's a short flight from central or south Florida. How does that Daiwa BG MQ handle getting splashed in the surf? I do a lot of kayak fishing and mu reels get really wet. I’ll probably need to replace some of them in the next year or 2 and going to invest in sealed reels. Trying to decide between Penn Slammer, Daiwa BG MQ or Saltist MQ
@@alexanderren1097 it’s been good so far and no issues with salt, but I like Penn products better generally speaking. I also love the Quantum Smoke Inshore series, I dunked my 3000 dozens of times wade fishing and it held up admirably.
@@SpaceCoastFishing ok. Good to know. Thanks
What's the date of the video? South end of Holland Park across from the fire station!
@@spacecoastsurffishing1726 this was first week of October. I haven’t hit the beach since I’m having withdrawals lol.
It would be nice if you said how much the trip cost!
I've been on that coast a decent amount as I was a reservist and now I think I understand why people crowd up sebastian inlet. That area just seems tough for shore fisherman conpared to Tampa Bay.
@@anthonypacion-chanthabouas8186 Sebastian can be really tough fishing if you’re not super familiar with it. But the beaches in general from Sebastian north to before Cocoa are amazing as it’s never crowded and the fishing is awesome. I lived in Tampa Bay Area for a long time and the best option for show fisherman is wade fishing.
Heck yes!!!! What setup for that spoon?

30 seconds to a minute is what you need for a Blanche. That way when they thaw they won't be too brittle.... I rarely do mine more than 30 seconds
Camera men only had one job to do
You're cooking fish. Duh.
I didn't think they ate fish, but hey definitely wanted some. 😂 better be glad it wasn't louisiana they would have ended up in a magnalite pot for sure 😂
What else do they eat 🙄😒
@@shanellecarlson9499 they are usually grain eaters if I'm not mistaken.
We have a pair that comes through our neighborhood daily but no one feeds them. They mind their own business and keep their distance from everyone. My kids call them “The Dinosaurs” I agree with your assessment, someone’s definitely been feeding these ones. Sadly that’s potentially a death sentence for these birds if they get too dependent or end up in a confrontation with someone’s dog or something. Also, I need to double check but I believe Sandhills mate for life. If one dies, sometimes the other may stop eating or taking care of itself and die shortly afterwards like it’s dying from a broken heart. This doesn’t always happen, sometimes the survivor finds a new mate.
@@alexanderren1097 I appreciate this comment, thanks for watching!!
Yoda: “Sandhill Cranes: always two there are.”
🦖
He said give me back my filet o fish they are very cool i look forward to seeing them every year by my farm
lol them are Sandhills crane. Be careful, they can be aggressive. They don’t eat fish, they are grain eaters. But the fact they are in your yard is beyond wild and cool. They have a nickname, ribeye in the sky, but they have a season and when we do hunt them, we don’t hunt dogs. They are known to use their beaks as stabbing tools when in danger. Awesome video and super cool you got one to call out.
Stay safe with the hurricane and be ready to fish the falling tide and catch mystery storm fish
What are headshakes?
@@cooliopoolio6787 when a hooked fish shakes its head it makes a distinctive feeling on the line
@@SpaceCoastFishing oh cool good to know I didn’t know that!
To everyone saying this *isnt* blanching, do 👏 your 👏 research 👏 “ Blanching is the process by which foods are briefly submerged in boiling water and then immediately cooled to stop further cooking. The technique deactivates enzymes that can affect the flavor, color and texture of produce, allowing it to be stored in peak condition. “ Typically a method applied to fruits and veggies but works for all foods. The purpose of blanching is to store an item at peak condition… this is exactly what he’s doing. I swear some of yall talking like you know things when the only meal you ever cooked was microwaved noodles 😂😂
@@Epikerthanu amen!
I bet u do ur shrimp the same way😂😂jk but I would think freezing them without cooking would make more sense
@@vinceroberts6529 if you don’t blanch them they get mushy after freezing.
Why not just add some water to the bag nd freeze them without cooking them🤔 never seem no shi# like this
Blanch, and Freeze... Thank goodness. I honestly thought you were going to eat em. 🤮
They are actually good eating among island folks
Make America great again 👏
A tad 'Bettie Davis', don't you think?
2 min is a full cook not a blanch. Blanching is to briefly immersing food items in boiling water.
@@Tam58851520 absolutely false but thx for the tip
Actually it depends on the food. 2 mins for a parasite sounds about right lol
Wingstops method of making crispy fries is first blanching them for for 5 minutes😂
@@JasonUr ok jason 👌🏻
Tik tok level of misinformation right here
Why do u blanch?
@@michaelzettek6902 to prep them for freezing. If you don’t blanch they’ll turn mushy.
@@SpaceCoastFishingyou didn’t blanch them you cooked them lol
lol I don’t under stand this either u hook them through the shell anyway 😂
They are really good eating.
@@Court-fl8ck wait, what!? Please enlighten me 😎
@@SpaceCoastFishing all I ever see is people using them for bait. Like crawfish, we always ate them.
@@Court-fl8ck how in the hell do you cook them!!??
@@SpaceCoastFishing just like you did. Then hit them with your favorite seasoning. Some Dan Os. Blanching is good get all the sand out. Pretty much a stubby shrimp. I'm guessing you could find recipes or cooking methods on RUclips or Google it. If you like crawfish and shrimp I'm sure you will like these.
@@SpaceCoastFishing hey, give me a shout after you try them. I live in Washington. Retired union glazier. Best food in the USA is in the south. I miss it.

Installing gimbal pins in the bottom of the rod holders will make them much more useful for surf rods. Please share any additional mods you make to your cart - additional rod holders, sand spike holder, etc. It’s a great cart but not as easy to accessorize as purpose built fishing carts.
Thank you! I’m planning on doing a full review soon, having had the cart less than 6 months. There are some hacks that will make life much easier with this cart.
