It's not easy but being your own boss can be a reward in itself. Great video, keep at it!

Loving the honesty in your content John, just came across your account this week and it’s been really motivational & refreshing compared to all of the exaggerated claims in the online business space.

That's so kind, thank you! I'm too often disheartened by seeing the glamourisation of business and want people to see the reality of running an online business. Thank you for your support :)

Great vid. I've just moved into a second warehouse and it's now costing me £3,000 a month to run the business before seeing a penny for myself (not including the mortgage!). Margins are around 10% so £30,000 of sales (and work!) just to pay business rates, electric, water, service charges, software to run the websites, etc. That said though there is now lots of space to grow and have staff for the first time in 18 years of working alone for myself!

Great video man! Be interested to check out your business. I’m playing the long game just like you with my brand, re-invest, re-invest re-invest!

That's the main reason I mention it, so people can take a look and literally see what I'm doing live. Stick at it, you've got this :)

Trying to start a business building and selling gaming PC's . . . been doing it for around a year now and come to the realization that its not really worth it! I sell 'budget builds' mainly around 300-400 quid to keep them affordable but only gives me tiny profits (talking 25 quid sometimes!). I was given abit of advice from a credible business person that told me to build PC's that cost around the 1000-1500 quid mark as 1. My customers will be 'better quality' and 2. Will increase my profits . . . I built one and is currently for sale at 1295 which gives me a 145 quid profit and I've had it sat here for months! nobody has that money to go and splash on a gaming PC . . . sorry for rambling haha! just thought i'd share a story so people again realize that its not easy at all and please remember not all advice is good advice, even if that advice comes from someone incredibly successful!

@@mikehudson537 that's a fascinating tale! I completely understand the logic of going for a more attractive price point, but like you say it really does cut profits razor thin 😅
