Dies that 40L capacity equate to the amount of wort produced after boil (double batch) or the maximum capacity of the vessel?

That's the volume of the entire vessel. You can easily produce a 23 to 25L batch with plenty of room for a rolling boil or you can push that volume higher and watch like a hawk for boil overs. It comfortably makes a single batch. The 50L version and 70L versions can do double and triple batch but require 15Amp power supply. These 40L systems are plug and play, requiring only an Australian 10Amp outlet to power them.

There are standing false bottoms available to suit these units. There are also two pump inlet filters available but currently not in stock.

What kind of outlet would you need for this system in the U.S? Or I should ask, can you use it in the US?

Our Brewery systems are 10 and 15Amp and only tailed for the Australian market.
There is a variety of this system available in the States but the build quality is different as are the components that operate the system and the accessories that go with the system.
Ours breweries are 2400W or 3000W offering faster ramping times and better performance.The American variety is only 1800W on a 50L (9.5gal) system.
