Like anything in life, brother; start small! First be a good steward in your life and begin loving everyone you can however you can. Then you will start to feel his love everywhere- even on the hard days he will reach out to you and show you his love.
Unless God has directly asked this of you, be careful with this: "giving to the poor" may not entail selling possessions and handing cash over to a charity organisation that may or may not use the funds appropriately! No, trust God to put you where He wants you to be. It may be that He wants you to be successful at your work supporting and helping others to come to the faith by your example. Maybe He wants you to sell everything and become a monk. Or He may just want you to cultivate the art of being happy and fufilled, with a cheerful heart, exqctly where you are, amd more fully uniting yourself and your heart to Christ. Pray on it. Ask your Orthodox Priest, or your Godfather. Ask your parish to pray for you are you navigate this time.
Obedience isn't physically selling everything you own but the letting go of everything you own, giving all to God, for it all belongs to Him. Submission of your heart ❤
