I know how to stop the camera glitch, every few seconds, just tap the pause button and wait till the camera reaches the vehicle, until you're at the bottom. Hope this helps.
I don't think it's a bug, I think it may be an intended feature where if you fall through the map somehow, it auto-drivers you down like in beach when the ground randomly disappears when they fail a big hill. That way, they don't keep falling for forever and get infinite coins. If you want to fix the camera "bug" pause and you will regain focus, then resume. (repeat if needed)
