Generally, the smaller wheels are made of carbyne and larger wheels are made of steel. The steel large wheels are used because they are cheaper to make. If you're looking for a quality cutter choose a cutter with a small, carbyne wheel. Carbyne is a much stronger material and it will be less likely to deform and blunt over time.
