This is the only stage that has forced me to expand all of my practice runs in a day lmao
you don't really need to use practice runs for regular stages - if you exit a stage before finishing, you only lose 1 sanity, everything else is refunded.
Practice runs matter more for Challenge stages where you lose half sanify for failure.

This stage made me realize how big the difficulty spike of this event is. The only annoying thing from Guiding ahead was Andoain, here every single enemy that appears makes me double check how i need to deal with them.
Just as a reminder, the entire gimmick of the event and the dodge *can* be silenced, so Podenco S2, Jaye S1 and Lappland are a godsend here to make things more consistent.
Really wish HG bothered to explain in game what can and cannot be silenced.
i mean if you check enemy info it says there that their dodge is removed by status ailments. so HG did bother to explain it.
one of the fun elements of the game is figuring what mechanics work against enemies mechanics. You don't want the the game devs to spoon feed and explain which mechanics to use against the enemies mechanics.
@@ddice626 xcept nowhere in the game Silence is referenced as status effect. The tooltip lists stun, freeze and cold.

If you have trouble with the boss, you can use the roomba with the rebounding module, wait for the boss to reach the tile above the blue box and use the roomba and aim left/right. This causes the roomba to bounce multiple times which takes a huge chunk of hp off the boss. Repeat a few times and the boss will die easily. But this also means that you will have to find another way to handle the other enemies.
I did the clear without the roomba or its upgrades (because I forgot to grab its modules xD).
U actually need only 3 of them to kill the 2nd phase, so u still have 2 spare
I actually did just that, roomba'd the boss, with cuora tanking the boss (and removing her when reaching the tile), while right side is taken cared of with Lappland/Defender/Caster

Finally, a guide that makes it easy. Other ones had the timing of the red-square block way-off, or didn't announce when a character was added to the field, or started a side conversation with themselves during important timing. Thanks for this, only took one try and I suspect I can auto-run this now.

Thanks a ton for the guide, I've been able to clear all but the boss in this level for a few hours and finaly caved in and looked it up. Learned about some mechanics too, now I just need my iq at room temperature to keep track of them.

Using Podenco S2 instead of Orchid and Lappland instead of redeploying Courier is a really nice way to get rid of the dodging mechanics

*THANK* you. Holy shit, Hypergryph keeps 1-upping themselves when it comes to inventing infuriating stages. Kyo's guide didnt work because his stalling wasnt going properly for me without leaking. Ecko's guide was out because it seemed to use the same basic method of stalling the top right. This was perfect because it implements the strategy of wiping out the right side before they become a problem, and then easily handling the boss as well. I spent a lot of resources getting my Surtr maxed out, and damn it, I'm gonna use her.
So thank you for succinctly explaining where the problems arise (although Kyo does this as well), and having a simple plan in place for them. One that didn't even require a full roster. Props to you, sir.👍👍

How would you be able to clear this WITHOUT Surtr? Im trying not to use support opsand only my own..
Using E1 Murdock you can gatekeep the mini boss on the right side. It will take her an hour to kill them but she will get the job done.

Awesome video. Are you going to make one for SN-10 too? I tried many things and still not been to reach halfway through
I was stuck at Sn-7 stage too, at the end I was able to clear it using Jaye, E2 my Jaye too, my first E2
then I was stuck at SN 9, Ended up using all of resources to E2 Eyja for stable clear, her Volcano melted my worries
right now I am stuck at SN-10 and collecting resources to E2 Kalstit to get true damage, Boss 2nd phase keep eating the defense relic
My squad is at E1 55, as I started 1 month ago so not many of my operators are built which can be useful here
Edit: Somehow I missed the last detail about you making SN 10 guide too lol but still hope awakens, man I almost tried about 60 times at that stage, my battle plans :(

Man, I thought he can eat all of the remains so I thought True damage is they way xD. Now I know that what he eats is the only one with a plus one and the one he will get buffed for xD.

Good video. Tried doing the stage myself and at the end the enemies became unblockable and just ran past my defenses. I can't figure out why. Do you know why?

Starting to wonder if Platinum just isn't good on this map. Right now the left side is a serious problem. I have Kroos and Platinum as far as Marksman go, with Podenco as a slower. They just cannot kill the enemies fast enough. Both Kroos and Platinum are E1 55. Kroos' skill is at rank 7, while Platinum's is at rank 5. They're the only two marksman I have leveled right now.
Don't have Surtr and no matter what I try to replace her just fails, can't clear this stage, I hate the boss so much
I was stuck a long time.
Can't stall him, can't leak him and can't Surtr him coz I don't yet have an E2 in my account. This boss has completely ruined my experience of this event.
Rush an E2 of a 4 star, it's cheap, use the event to help you buy LMD and EXP so that you can easily borrow
HUH I never would've realized you need to trap them in the red box to stop the brand from spawning. And here I was tearing my hair out trying to keep silence up 100% of the time
Hardest event, man the hardest one for me was Walk in the Dust cause of EX-8
So as a new player that doesnt have any characters leveled up to e1 lvl 55 i got no chance to complete it? No speaking of my character pool is quite limited and a cant summon any e2 char for help cuz i dont have any(game says its scaling from my highest char)?
You don't summon E2 characters, you build them, you can easily E2 a 4 star.

Well its not so easy for me, i got only lvl 4 both money and exp missions and it took me quite long just to level 10 characters to e1 lvl40-50 for 6 previous maps. I think i kinda jump over my head with this event, maybe i need to complete some story missions first.
The boss very easy to kill with just 3 Hand of the Saint with bouncing effect right on top of blue box, the boss must eat +res relic
So u don't need to rely on surtr

Just bring more operators to substitute what Surtr is doing

I still dont bloody understand this thing, how does the sutr he use wipe out the boss so quickly yet the support unit sutr im using with level 90 elite 2 cant even knock of 1/4
Mastery is needed, you need to borrow an M3 Surtr. If you watch some of my videos enough, you'll keep hearing that skill ranks are more important than pure levels
... i spent 1 hour+ just to 3 star this stage by using lord Kyostin's low cost guide.. didnt even occured to me that i can just borrow a friend's surt... GAADDDDEMMIT

I cleaned this stage easily with Ambriel and GG on my first try. Turns out it's not the best strat for an auto-deployment so now I'm watching guides. ;w; Gonna try out this one so thanks in advance.

How does E1 Surtr get a Skill 3 >:(
I mean, the clear itself is still doable *_depending on your roster,_* but you have to make your own strategy if you want to use E1 Surtr.
I did it with E1 Surtr, but on the other hand, I do have some operators (including Lappland) at E2.
I guess I feel better about myself for getting through the event without guides.. until this stage broke my face. Been farming a 12 cost stage because of it; agonizing.
I haven't been playing Arknights much this year, but it really seems like the difficulty curves are completely out of whack, and everything is just made for a higher base difficulty in the first place compared to 2 years ago when I played regularly. Sure guide makers can clear with a squad of 3*'s.. but they've also been making guides for years and understand the game through and through.
I should probably go back to Starcraft/Warcraft tower defense maps; those were *much* easier to understand (and didn't require monetary investment).
Not this stage being harder to clear than SN10
