Thank you! I really was surprisingly easy and I still can't get over the quality! We are going to leave it up all year! I can't wait to experience every season from this bubble! :D
Hahaha I love the celebration at the end. There were some silly mistakes but yeah it really was so super simple to put together. Far more user error than anything. Who knew reading instructions helped haha.
DOES ANYONE OR HAS ANYONE BROKE DOWN THE PRICING IN DIY TERMS WITH PVC PIPING ETC \ VELCRO AND PLASTIC LINER ? JUST WONDERING. P.S THIS BUILD IS GREAT MAYBE ADD VENTILATION THROUGH THE FLOOR BOARDS AND OUT THE SIDES OF THE STAND / BASE.. GREAT JOB
I highly encourage you to buy an igloo. I'm going on year 2 with mine. Idk what state you're in but I can tell you how to heat it. I do believe a mattress would fit in it.
Does the plastic lose its ‘wrinkles’ after a while? In hotter weather? My one hesitation about this dome ( against the more expensive one) is if it looks messy.
Weve been thinking about getting one. Can you tell us the pros and cons to this. Also can you fit a mattress double in it. We live at a big lake and woods around us and we were thinking how to just sleep outside when the fireflies were out. What size platform did ya all build. And how cool to set up together thanks for video
Hello, I have this dome in the 9.5 ft size and have misplaced my instructions. Any chance you could share a pdf copy of yours? Or, any other recommendations? Thanks!
We had it up for 2 years in the Chicago suburbs, but then moved out of state. The skeleton feels indestructible, but the plastic cover should definitely not be left out all season long because it gets really dirty and could be punctured by branches.
This is cool! And nice job of installation! I wonder how it reacs in wind and also rain and specially much snow? Does it tilt or deform If i use the right word! :)) Danke Thanks Grazie Tack!
Thank you! It is super sturdy and is still standing after several seasons. We're just outside of Chicago and get rough winters and storms. You just want to remove the cover so branches don't tear it. Otherwise, the skeleton is REALLY strong.
Thinking of utilizing this as part of an event set-up, so we would be constantly setting it up and tearing it down. Do you think it's durable enough for that? Any other thoughts?
It's definitely possible. We put it in a very wooded area (obviously) but there aren't any limbs in direct contact with it. I think as long as you don't put it somewhere where it's touching trees, it's fine. :)
thank you. just thought in a storm or windy day as branches break off and fall, which happens quite often, (we just had branches go through a metal roof yikes! )Houghton it probably wouldn't be good idea to put in our wooded area. hate to lose $800+ great video though on setting it up. thank you
Hi Mickey, If you keep the windows closed, it gets pretty toasty. But with the placement of the two windows, it's designed to keep great airflow... and it does. :) You can read my full blog post for more: sweeptight.com/2016/06/garden-igloo-enjoy-outside-bubble.html
@@ShelleyVanWitzenburg My daughter hired one for a day and i having seen one in the flesh i have to say its not worth the money. The frame is stable but its not what i`d call rigid or strong because it has too much flex in it. Here`s an identical size dome i built recently that is rock solid with zero flex. It cost me £70/ $98us in materials, 2 days to fabricate the parts and about 3 hours to put together on my own. ruclips.net/video/jX8o0x6cIOg/видео.html
Too cool! It's way easier than I would have thought to set up. You guys rocked it!

Haha yeah. Typical for most stubborn humans though. ;)

Oh man, can you look online for the manual? The one that came with this was quite detailed...
Hi Shelley
I'm Sandeep from India
In need the information
From. where and which website you brought the complete kit please help me on this
Hi Sandeep, please visit gardenigloo.com/ for more information.
Hello, I have this dome in the 9.5 ft size and have misplaced my instructions. Any chance you could share a pdf copy of yours? Or, any other recommendations? Thanks!
Do you have the Manuel book instructions?
Do you know what kind of plastic the cover is?
where did you buy that??
Hello :-) Thank you so much for posting this! How wide is the patio base you have your igloo on?
104" x 104" although it was tight fit. I'd suggest making yours a bit bigger. :)
This build put me right off getting one. Because I'm a lazy bastard.
What is the biggest strut length?
Can you give complete information about this product
Please where can I buy this...I have been looking for it for a while

Does it turn yellow like all plastic materials?
How many years did this last?
We had it up for 2 years in the Chicago suburbs, but then moved out of state. The skeleton feels indestructible, but the plastic cover should definitely not be left out all season long because it gets really dirty and could be punctured by branches.
Hi, Is it safe to use this when it’s raining 🌧 with lightning ⚡️?
Yes! However, if you expect lightning, I would suggest going indoors.

Wow, sounds great :) I live in Stockholm but I have been there in Chicago once 2014 actually! Nice city! Enjoy Shelley! :) Very small world!
@@ShelleyVanWitzenburg --what brand is the tent you have? It looks GREAT!!!
It's called "Garden Igloo." 😊
@@regeta2003 thanks very much for the laugh 😀
Since when does someone in Stockholm have to worry about the winter? You don't even have winter.
The fumes from the pvc cover aren`t good for your health. I wouldnt recommend spending too much time inside especially in sunny, hot weather.
@John Foley il pick one up for my misses

How is it anchored?
It comes with clamps that can be screwed down into the base. It also came with bags that can be filled with sand-we didn't end up using those.
Thinking of utilizing this as part of an event set-up, so we would be constantly setting it up and tearing it down. Do you think it's durable enough for that? Any other thoughts?
Hello i want to Ask you something ??
End price?
I would be concerned if a wind storm came about.
I really need the measure of the platform!!! How long, how wide😐 The igloo is 10 square meters??
Hello, our platform didn't leave much room outside of the igloo, so you may want yours a little larger. Ours was 104 inches x 104"
How is your Garden Igloo after 6 years?
Unfortunately, in storage! I moved to an apartment so no longer have a yard for it. :(
Its great.. but almost 1 thousand euros? really?
Yes :(
$1500 for that?
51 min's my eye! i know it took at least 5 hours!!
It's the truth! The instructions are super easy to follow!
my thoughts exactly just with the movement of the light during the video you can tell that it took more that an hour to setup.
Bravo
wouldn't tree limbs puncture this pretty easy?
It's definitely possible. We put it in a very wooded area (obviously) but there aren't any limbs in direct contact with it. I think as long as you don't put it somewhere where it's touching trees, it's fine. :)

how hot does it get in there?

I actually read your post after I commented. Looks pretty nice. It is on my list .
+Mickey Moore oh nice! Thanks for watching and reading! Let me know if you get one! 😁
bruh from the thumbnail I thought they were monkeys
And that kids is how I met your mother
$800 and all flimsy plastic has to be world record rip off.
I understand your opinion, however, it's far from flimsy. You're paying for the design, which is extremely strong.
