Waiting for mine. Should be getting it early September. ( ordered June 21,2020). Thanks for the info. I will definitely be changing the pedal assist levels.
Hey Doug! The turn signal works with my Lumos helmet. There are turn signals on the helmet itself. I actually have two different models of the Lumos helmet. The remote device you see is the older one and I actually like it better than the new version.
Thank You so very much for all the valuable information !!! My bike has way more take off power than I really want ( or , can handle sometimes ) ! On another subject , Im still waiting for Ken to get back with Me to see what is to be done about that broken tail light bracket ! The last time He sent Me a email , He wants Me to have the bike shop to weld it back on . But I hammered it into a " L" shape and wedged it between the bottom of the board on top , and the top of the rack ( so I could ride it a little ) & I told Him so . I emailed Him once more , but Nuthin !
You can get J-B Weld steel-stick. You can knead it in your hand place it around the broken part into the shape and thickness you desire and it will harden like steel.
Ok, I was watching another RUclips tutorial and messed things up. So far Himiway has not assisted me. I wanted to reduce the power in level 1, but made changes throughout. I would like to restore to factory settings and attempt to make the appropriate changes. Thanks for any help.
To recover default settings: try holding the “+” and the “i” buttons at the same time for about 2 Seconds; if you can navigate to the “dEF-n” screen, you will at the “Default-no” screen. Press the “+” or “-“ buttons to change this to “dEF-y” (“Default-yes”), then press and hold the “i” button for 2 seconds. It should briefly change to “dEF-00” and go back to the general display. I hope this helps.

I ordered two sets from Amazon $22.95 each. I debated over another brand for the same price but saw Dean's were fitting well. I saw the luminous lights at Amazon also $179.00 but had bought the Rock bros from Himiway which has the light on the helmet front, sides and back but no signal capability.
I just got a himiway cruiser today went for a 20-mile bike ride and the power level on the LCD screen still shows full hasn't moved at all. But if I push the button on the battery it's used one green light. Is there a way to adjust the batter level on the LCD screen?
There is a way to adjust the battery level display, but I have not reprogrammed mine. You are right though...by the time the battery level meter moves down one notch, your battery is probably already at 50% capacity. That doesn’t bother me, but I just know that by the time that happens, I know the battery is going to diminish faster and need charging soon. I’ll try to see if I can find the instructions on how to change those settings and post them here.
@@ncaverync okay thank you so much that's good to know that when it goes down one bar. It's the battery is halfway. Now I'll know how to use that Gage. I had another electric bike it was opposite it went down real fast and when it got to one bar it stayed there for like 15 miles.
Hey Mike, Don’t be surprised if one bar disappears (especially during high usage like going up a steep hill), then it reappears when the battery cools down a bit or if you take a rest and let the bike sit for a while. I think it’s just the nature of these rechargeable batteries. Enjoy!
@@ncaverync yeah I took it out again today Road at 30 miles in the screen still shows full when I got home but the battery had used to light so it's half way full. I don't care works for some reason.
@@ncaverync cool thanks , I took mine out for a short ride today , I still have to tweak it a little my battery dropped 2 bars and I really rode less than 5miles.
You might need to make sure your battery voltage setting is at the default setting of 31.5V: VOL Voltage - Battery Power Bar Settings - The number 1 flashing in the top right corner indicates it is screen menu #1. VOL represents voltage settings. Each bar on your battery indicator represents a voltage value. 5 bars voltage values must be entered one by one. For example, VOL 1 is first bar voltage value. The default value is 31.5V. These values probably shouldn’t be changed since they are already set to display regular decreasing voltages as the battery power is used up. If desired, you can change this setting by pressing the “i” button to select the screen, then use the “+” and the “-” buttons and the “i” button to change the 5 individual values in much the same was as we have done for other settings. To advance to the next setup item, press the the “+”button. This works on any numbered menu when the number is flashing.
john, I don’t know that I’m going to be able to help. I can’t figure why your throttle won’t work on certain Pedal Assist levels and not others. Are you a member of the Himiway Motorbike Club Facebook Group? Maybe you could join and ask the question to our group and maybe someone has the answer?
I need help. I bought a Himiway and received it 2/15/21. All good out of the box and for 3 rides. On my 4th ride lost all power had to walk it home. After checking all connections and finally getting to tech support it was determined controller was the problem. I paid $99 to have a new controller. It has been 11 days and my controller has not been confirmed for delivery. Please help.
john, Maybe you could also set everything back to the default factory settings and start fresh? I could post directions of how to do that, if you think you’d like to try it.
If you feel the need to set your bike back to the default factory settings: Press the “-“ and the “i” buttons for 2 seconds; you see “dEF-n” (default-no); use the “+” or “-“ button to change it to “dEF-y” (meaning “yes”, to recover the default settings); then press the “i” button for 2 seconds to “enter”; you should see “dEF-00” at the same time. Press and hold the power button to turn the screen off and lock in your changes.

Hi and thanks for this info. I am trying to figure out how you attached your mirror along with the Bell in the same area. What mirror are you using?
William, Meachow Brand from Amazon. I had to move the shimano shifter over just a tad to get the right mirror to attach.
