I am sailing a new boat i just brought 60k up the coast in windy conditions.

I am sailing a new boat called mongo A cal 27 up the coast today. I also hear what I thought might be a cry for help! It turned out to be the army firing guns on the land!

C'mon Jas' - "front sail" - its a Foresail, or Jib, or Genoa (or Spinnaker) I love the way you buy boats, and then venture out on quite long sails on an unknown boat, shows confidence

I've been watching your videos for a while and really enjoy your knowledge
Which brings me to a question
I've taken the plunge and brought a small yacht, and I wondered if you could suggest the best/cheapest haul out options when on a tight budget
Appreciate any help you can give

Hey. What sort of boat did you buy? design size etc? Haul out? if you in Auckland it's really expensive. actually, most of them are now, the gold hole under the bridge is probably not too bad. The panmure boat club if you are a local...or the Milford cruising club? Most of them want insurance now days which is tricky. My fav is definitely the concrete works up the river at warkworth aka marhuranig marinas. Or better yet...how much work is needed? Do it on the mooring then the tidal grid for underside.....save yourself a fortune. One thing i have been meaning to do for years is make a haul out trailer that has a kind of tub around it and a fold down platform that I would pull boats out and clean them then and there and collect all the run off thus not upsetting anyone. be a cool thing.....I would need ten life times though to do half of the ideas i have! Hey often clubs have a small temp haul out solution. so much will depend on what one you are close to and how much time you have. I here great things about thames. Apaprently its cheap. Again most of the big ones are scary expensive....like 80 per day I hear!! that adds up real fast

Yeah i can see that. I think there are a lot of these in america. Its a great size. It feels like a little house!
