You are completely right with the rock piles I have some rocks out here that you would need some serious mining equipment to get out the ground haha that’s why we go around them.
You should try to get one of those 610's to Mike Mitchell as a demo so he can test it on an 84 foot borgault with a 1350 cart. He'll give you a truthful straight-up review.
@@farmhandmike Good point. I see there's finally a versatile dealer back in Pennsylvania. Finally get a chance to go check them out in person. Congratulations reaching 85000
@@farmhandmike yes the Fendt dealer he deals with is also the Versatile dealer . for many years my uncle was the versatile dealer in Swan River Manitoba
You know when I was a kid growing up around Rugby North Dakota we had blizzards all the time but I guess here lately North Dakota hasn't seen much snowfall at all
We parked the air seeder for the third time this year. The last couple times we found ground that would work but now all we left is last year's soybean ground and there's absolutely no moisture in it and it's hard as concrete. It's a mess up here this year
So from what I gathered is he only has the 40 bushels of seed? The rest of cart is for fertilizer or is another of those compartments for seed? Seems like with such a small 40 bushels compared to the field, drill, cart. If that’s the case how often do they stop to add seed?
All 5 tanks can be used as individual ( metering ) tanks for seed or fertilizer, Tank 1B (Flex) is only as extra capacity on tank 1 or tank 2. No, this is a 60' tool bar, Bourgault has 68' - 80' - 84' - 86' and 100' drills and a larger 71300/91300 (1300 bu) cart/seeder. But I never saw a video of a Bourgault 100' drill with a 71300 or (newer) 91300 cart on hills like this, even without hills they pull the 100' with the smaller and lighter 7950 cart (33000 lb), the newer 9950 cart with the same volume weighs 43000 lb (empty) !!!
Bourgault makes both 100ft seeders and 1300 bushel carts. Only problem is that no production tractor has the power to tow that combination even on flat ground.

Great video as always..
Just wondering why the cart doesn't have the same tire arrangement on both ends? Is the front that much lighter?
Awesome
Is he using GPS?
High Mike great video how did the Versatile tractor cope pulling all that weight up those hills?
I can’t say anything about the hills but they made that drill up to 86’ wide
The tractor could pull a bigger one but he told me in this area because of the hills its safe to stick with a 60 footer.
Wow, look at that oil shortage out yonder!
BIG VERSSATILE
Almost thought that was a new high speed drill at 27:25
Does the drill have section control? How many sections?
Yes it does. I believe one on every manifold of hoses you see on the drill.
How does the operator keep track of where he has been and where he needs to go?
He likely has a map on his monitor in the cab
How many acres does the tractor run on?
Looks like they double or triple plant on the turns
Then drill has section control running off of GPS
🤩
