You won't regret it, I still have my regal se but with a hot 360. 30 years now and by far the best car I've owned. Extremely underrated cars , much better than Holden and Ford.
I was in my shed welding a CL boot surround into my VJ this morning, thinking to myself " I bet Coopz has a the parts I need fo this old girl!" And here you are all motivated and stuff! I shout you out on my RUclips channel because I just love your content. Respect From the South of WA
Only the late CMs after about mid 1980. Back in the 2000s the late CMs usually still had perfect rails, apparently as well as the large drain hole they sprayed some extra product in there. It definitely worked pity it took until the final year of production to address the problem.
What Headers are people using with a small block and manual transmisson? Pacemakers seem to be suited for automatics. The write up for Genie Headers say suited for manual and auto. And specify suited for our Australian cars.
@@jasonthunders6551 as you would know there is very little room on the right side when running a manual. Block huggers give the most room Pacemakers have to be modified Never used genies on a V8 Sorry not much help
I'm rebuilding a CL wagon and have even gone to the extent of wire brushing the floor pan. All bushes replaced as are all the steering and suspension components. I still have a bit to do but aiming for a daily driver. I would really like to know how you went with getting it registered 😀👍
Well done Coopz. I'd be interested to know if that JB Tank weld hold up. I'd be inclined to say bronzing may be a more permanent fix, but please keep us posted. Pretty decent old rig overall!
Coopz whenever I treat rust with converter, it ends up coming back in a few months. Maybe I’m doing it wrong. What’s your process? Wire wheel, converter, primer and paint?
Hi coopz. I'm looking to buy some VF-VG coupe tail lights. But. They must be broken lenses/damaged . Unfit for street use. Basically unsellable parts. It's for a "Yard Art" project. If you have any for sale? Please send me a message. Cheers. Duane

Nice work there, mate. I look forward to the next video on this car if there's one coming.
I like these late models. I had a CL 770 Charger in Cienna brown. It was a really nice evolution of the early Valiants
Beauuuuddddiful, Coopz!
Great effort in a short time
Lookin good Mr Coop✌
Yah got Howard Astill the Ford whisperer, and then yah got Coop the Chrysler whisperer. I wonder who's the Holden whisperer???
Nice work Mate, need a daily driver. Sick of my ss ute , modern cars just bore me to death. It goes ok but they just don't have the character.
You're handier than me cobber 😂👍
The rails in CM had a hole drilled in then near the steering box to help let dirt out which saved them .

I’d have welded a patch on but yes I’m a silly bugger and lucky not to have killed myself many times over the years.
