    I always figured that the beginning of Jules and Jim was inspired by the beginning of the magnificent ambersons, which would make sense as truffaut liked orson wells, though I will say that truffaut added a different spin on it.

      makes some kind of sense to me since I dislike both of those films. Actually there's more parallels than that, they're both second-features of a director that disappointed me after loving their debut feature (Citizen Kane & The 400 Blows, amazing films)

      Honestly I was bored to death by Jules and Jim although I did notice the freeze frames. It was overly long and my GOD THE NARRATION!!!

    It should be spelled "Truffaut"
