1. There is a huge supermarket at Seoul station. 2. I highly suggest visiting the small Tongin market, you buy chips that allow you to buy at the various food stalls. At lunchtime, school children fill the place, lovely. 3. Make sure to take a walk along the old city wall: Either on the west, perhaps up Inwangsan Mt (339m) or in the east near Ihwa Mural village, North of Dongdaemun.

Markets are cool for visitors but I prefer going to the food court at the major department stores (Shinsegae, Hyundai, Lotte). A lot of food options to choose from and they usually have hypermarkets and dessert shops too. Korean cuisine is ever growing and changing unlike many other cuisines that prefer to stay in the orthodox or the "right" way, and it embraces everything from traditional to modern. It is also one of few cuisines that leaves not much waste. Every part of an entire animal is used from head to bones. If you want something really authentic, try out some of those restaurants that serve traditional course meals and temple food.

Fun video, and you did a good job navigating for a 1st time visit! The metro card I think you returned at the subway was the T-money card. T-money card can be used for almost all forms of transport (taxis, subway, train, bus), and to pay for food/goods in convenience stores like GS25 for example.
Hi, Seoul Station (4) at 09:29 simply reminds you of the name of the current station you're at. It probably says (4) in parentheses because it's specifically the Line 4 platform of Seoul Station. You refer to screens that hang from the ceiling to check the arrival time!
Hi Ken...you can easily use Google Translate from English/German to Korean or any language you prefer. Also, the camera function is very useful to read signs...that's my go to app to communicate just ensure you have internet connection. Enjoy!
33:46 The size is about average for a neighborhood supermarket. However, with so many convenience stores around and the convenience of same-day grocery delivery, it feels like you only find them in older neighborhoods now.

Hi, Seoul Station (4) at 09:29 simply reminds you of the name of the current station you're at. It probably says (4) in parentheses because it's specifically the Line 4 platform of Seoul Station. You refer to screens that hang from the ceiling to check the arrival time!
1:42 헐? artbeat팀 같은데? artbeat는 한국 최고의 dancecover팀 입니다.
Hi Ken...you can easily use Google Translate from English/German to Korean or any language you prefer. Also, the camera function is very useful to read signs...that's my go to app to communicate just ensure you have internet connection. Enjoy!
If you want a more typical supermarket experience, either go to E-Mart of Lotte Mart where they carry a lot more items.
Your Vlogs Are Awesome
Love From India 🇮🇳
Great to see how much you like being in S Korea, Ken!

Hello Ken 🥰 Enjoy Your New Adventure 🥰 Thank You For Sharing 🥰 Watching from Toronto 🥰🇨🇦
Greetings to Toronto😊
33:46 The size is about average for a neighborhood supermarket. However, with so many convenience stores around and the convenience of same-day grocery delivery, it feels like you only find them in older neighborhoods now.
Really amazing city. Thx for the video
Love this video a lot, beautiful city !!
my favorite travel blogger!
Appreciate it 🙏
Ken your video's are amazing 😍😊😊😊
thank you!😊
I was in Seoul during Christmas, super cold weather, the Korean Ginseng Chicken Soup samgyetang hit the throat perfectly, I will still rate it my favourite food from Korea 🤤
Nice Jersey there Ken, :-) , Germany V Scotland today (Friday, 14th /6/24) Euro Cup 2024. I do walking football as my exercise here in England.
The yellow thing was pickled radish called daikon. We eat that in Hawaii also.🌺🤙🏽
마트가서 아무생각없이 구매하다가.. ^^ 우리나라 상품가격을 이 영상에서 알게되네요.ㅋ
감사합니다. ^^ 구독하고 갑니다.

Food is not allowed on the subway or bus in Korea.
Coffee doesn't work either. 8:30
It's allowed on highway sightseeing buses.
Ken you are too nice.
Hello I’m citizen of Seoul.
Your video is awesome!
I think all places where you visited is all good local place!
And I think that these supermarket prices will help other travellers.
Loved the video! A good supermarket to visit is Lotte Mart (at Seoul Station).
Enjoy all! My first experience with underground mall was in Taipei where one of the stores reminded me of a Walmart Superstore selling everything! Sunset---looks like a LOT of pollution! Nice vid, as usual.
Korea is known for expensive fruits prices😅
It will be helpful to understand if you show the price in Korea with the price in Germany. I'd love to see a price differences between two countries :-)
Since Seoul is so big and old, every neighborhood has its own atmosphere and charm, and it almost feels like you're in a diffrent city.
Hope you have a wonderful and safe trip in Korea😊
Its funny to hear him say the 1.5 litre of Gatorade is a huge bottle. Here in America, Coke drinks are sold in 2 litre and 3 litre bottles. To us, 2 litre bottle is the normal size coffee
The deposit is for the plastic ticket which I haven't seen in any other countries I have visited so far.
Yeah for saving environment and earth.
@@유리장수 What about putting it just into a checkout machine without extra effort? This is a common practice in many other countries.
Second...oneday fortress wall hiking ( beautiful panoramic views all the time..) starting point is 한성대입구 subway station (the 4 line) 6 exit, and from there go to the 성북 elementary school...that's a starting point of fortress wall hiking ^^
So early morning, Prepare water, sports shoes, food, sunblock cream ..go to the top of mt.백악산 ^^ you can see the real beauty of Seoul *^^* good luck ~
