- I recently reviewed the Steinberg AXR4 audio interface for Sonicstate and one thing I really wanted to test was how well it would cope recording at 192KHZ and 32 bit integer. So I asked my band Rocketgoldstar to help me make a recording in one day that utilised the interface as much as I could. Everything you hear went through the preamps on the unit and with the Neve silk emulation too.
The Song is called Born Taurus Man and was written about ten years ago but has never been released as of yet. We hope to include it on the new Rocketgoldstar album out this year.
Piano, Hammond, Prophet 600, guitar, backing vocals - Frank Naughton
Bass, lead vocals - Gaz Williams
Drums, percussion, backing vocals - Sion Orgon
Lyrics:
Born Taurus Man, grafting on the farm
Winter, calling me to arms
Marching through the fields, heading off to ruck
Raindrops change the earth to muck
Still we carry on, feet frozen to the bone,
(And we ask) When will we be going home?
Abandoned and alone,
My friends have met the worms,
Nighttime closes on my world
My duty to kill or maim
For king and queen and country
To wear my medals proudly and salute
Rifles fire and my comrades fall
Reinforcements don’t appear
A young man’s dream
Is to bury his fear
And become a macho hero
Yet I cry and cower like a child
As shells explode nearby
Fall in line and advance in time
To cease control and overthrow!
So I lie upon the ground
Battle scarred and broken down
Silence...
Yet I hear a sound
Angels open up the sky
And lead me through the open door
Blinding white and wonderful
My duty to kill or maim
For king and queen and country
To wear my medals proudly and salute
(Born Taurus Man)
Proudly and salute
Taurus man was born to plan
Bred as an automaton
Served without a question why
Now blankly stares out at the sky Видеоклипы
