Another wonderful video today. Thank you for crediting the original author, Christina Rossetti, for those words. So much beauty from the past has been lost or “dumbed down” in recent years. So many gifted authors and poets are lost or becoming lost in our “modern” world. PS Today is Christmas Day and I gifted my husband the Pigeon who wanted to drive the sleigh for Christmas as one of his gifts. He loved it! It reminded us of The Monster At The EndOf This Book from our children’s youth. Thank you for the great recommendation!
You're so right -- it's very easy for things to be modernized, to make them more approachable I think, but other beauty can be lost too. And how fun that your husband enjoyed the Pidgeon book!
I’m new to cross stitch and I can’t imagine that it’s not ok to customize any pattern! Kudos for knowing the original poem and figuring out how to customize your work 👍 Have a Merry Christmas!
I totally agree! I change patterns all the time. There's just something about this designer a lot of people decide to stitch only as charted. Personally, I'm all about customization whenever you want to. Merry Christmas to you too!
I wanted to let you know ho w much I have enjoyed spending a few minutes with you each day of Dec and learning something different each day. I can hardly believe tomorrow is Christmas Eve but hope to see you again.
Hi Deborah and happy flossmas Day 23! Hi Doc! I love seeing you almost every day and I will miss seeing you and your mom each day after flossmas is finished. I need to organize my craft closet but need more than just a couple of days to get it done since I have to take frequent breaks between the back fracture from previously, the fibromyalgia, and the arthritis. (Getting old is not for sissies LOL.) Thank you for the book review, definitely sounds like one I would be interested in reading. Thanks for filming every day and give Doc extra loving for helping you produce this masterpiece. Dawn in Texas
Hi Dawn! Doc just jumped up next to me at the computer, so he says hi as well. I've been slowly working on my craft room for a couple years in drips and drabs. Sometimes I get the luxury of a few days to focus on it, but mostly it's just here or there. Incremental progress is still progress, right? ❤🎄
Hi Deborah, sorry I haven’t been able to comment every day but I have been watching and really enjoying your flosstube. I did not know that Dorothy Sayers wrote this. I must look at it at some stage. Thanks for talking about it. Merry Christmas Deborah!
Hi Sarah -- No need to apologize whatsoever! It's a busy time of year, and I'm glad you were able to tune in. If you do read the Sayers, I'd love to hear your thoughts on it. Merry Christmas to you too!
I have enjoyed your Flossmas episodes! I have to admit seeing Doc is an added bonus! I recall from a previous episode that you went to college in Tennessee for a while (I think that’s what I heard😛). What college or university? I live in Knoxville and am always interested in any Tennessee connections. I too am a middle-aged woman living alone with my two cats and am obsessed with cross stitching. I feel like you are a kindred spirit😀 Merry Christmas!
Kindred spirits! Cross stitching, cat loving, single ladies unite! :D Doc has definitely been the star of the show too. I went to a little one called Southern, just outside of Chattanooga. Merry Christmas to you as well! ❤
This has been a wonderful Flossmas series. Thank you so much, Deborah. Merry Christmas! 🎄
You're very welcome -- and thank you for watching along with me. ❤ Merry Christmas to you as well!
I saw Doc there right away! He (she) wouldn't want to disappoint his/her following this close to Christmas! What a gift for us!!! ♥🐈⬛
Nope, he wouldn't want to disappoint! ♥

Good morning and thank you for the book recommendation. Have a lovely day organizing. See you tomorrow.
You're very welcome! I hope you had a good day too, Rhonda.
So enjoyed your Flossmas ❤, I will be sad when advent is over. Looking forward to seeing your advent finish. Merry Christmas 🎄
Merry Christmas to you too! I'm so glad you joined me each day too. ❤
Nice to see you and Doc again today. Thanks for recommending that book. I also want to read her mysteries. See you tomorrow
Good to hear from you today too, Linda! I hope you enjoy the Sayers books too!
Doc is a charming flosstube kitty and I have enjoyed our visits so much! I'm going to miss seeing you everyday! xox
I'm so happy everyone else loves Doc as much as I do!

In the bleak mid winter is my favourite carol. So you were right to change the wording in my opinion.
See you tomorrow
It's one of my favorites too -- glad you like the wording change too!
