I have been contemplating suicide off and on for the last few months. After going to a For King and Country concert in Goshen, and Joel giving me his "Respect & Honor" bracelet I now listen to this song. Whenever I'm depressed and think about self harming I listen to this instead. I cry my eyes out, listen to it a few times and it helps better than any other method I know. Today was one of these times. So thank God for this song, or today's events would've been drastically different. Thank you, you're officially my favorite band For King and Country!

This is one of the most beautiful songs ever. Imagine what this does to someone with arms covered in self-inflicted scars and the memories of contemplating suicide. This song changed my life, and is one of the reasons I'm still here on this planet, ALIVE.

As someone who has struggled with depression and self-harm, and still does struggle with urges to do it again, this song means the world to me. I've been waiting for so long for someone to tell me, "You matter. I hope you know you matter." Praise God for this beautiful song, and to everyone else here:

I have been suffering with depression and anxiety, I hated who I was because of bullying and I thought I was nothing and then after everything horrible that had happened to me seemed to disappear because of this song. I am in tears each time I hear this, thinking that even though my parents may have not see me as much but God does. I hope everyone that hears this song is reminded how much they mean to God!

As people we need to stop blaming God for the hurt we have...God only wants to help you...and some pain comes from his good...HE ended a relationship I was in that I hadn’t realized was not good for me...where I was lied to...I was with her for a year...and God made it clear that she wasn’t the one...she left me...but God had her do so to protect me...it hurt and still hurts...but God’s lookin out for me...and I’m still looking out for her

It's been a while since I heard this song. The first time I heard in a while I got so angry. I thought "if I matter so much why are these things hurting me? Why are my loved ones hurting me?" And for some reason, I felt God told me to listen to it again so I did and now it gives me peace and reminds me of my value.
I was listening to another song of For King And Country's when this song came up on the suggested list and I decided to check it out. I am so glad I did! It could not have come at a more perfect time! I've been going through a lot of struggles since 7th grade (I'm now going into 10th) and I've thought "no one would care if I died". Now I see I was wrong. Someone does care about me.

this song truly hits close to my heart as of late. afew months ago, i started liking a girl. i didn't know what to do with my self around her, nothing but agonizingly simple conversations came out of attempts to talk to her. i wrote letters to her expressing how i felt, then i not only found out that she didn't feel the same, but she liked someone else. it truly tore my heart to pieces. but it was her mother who told me, saying that her daughter was hesitating telling me, not wanting to hurt me. what will and courage i had left, i went up to her and told her that i knew, and that i hope she is happy with who ever she ends up with. i broke down to tears, and my heart still aches. but this helps.

I have the same problem with a guy I have had a HUGE crush on him for 4 years and I'm not sure what to do. This crush I have on him is toatly different than any other. I know that he has liked me for some period of time but I'm not sure about now...we left the church we were at and I was so sad but we had to because people were judging us and we felt like trash. Lies were being said about us and it wasn't good. In that church I have had a friend but she was only using me. But I got stronger from people judging me I don't care about how people look at me now but that it besides the point. I'm only 14 I think I'm too young for me to have a boyfriend I mean I'm only a kid. Idk what to do I can't stop thinking about him I cry over him and I don't know what I am going to do. I can't tell him because I get really shy and akward and I don't know how he will react. I hope you see this...

This is a really good song, it has helped me thru a lot. whenever I have been going thru hard times i listen to this song. Too often ive had ppl walk all over me like they dont care, ppl tear me down like im not even human, and ppl treat me like i dont even exist or i do just for them to target their negativity towards. But every time i listen to this song i cry my eyes out. I cry the tears i wasnt able to cry, but they have turned into tears of joy. This song has touched my heart so many times and continues to do so!

This song is getting me thro my teenage years
I have been suffering from depression and anxiety for most of my life. I'm going through my first heartbreak from feeling love for the first time (30 yo demiromantic) making the depressed low I've been in almost unbearable.
A friend left me this link to wake up to and it hits so perfectly for what I am feeling. It's helping me cry and let my tears spill to wash away the pain.
I will get through my pain and find happiness again (maybe just not romantic happiness). I have faith in that and I have faith it will happen for anyone reading this. You do matter. We all matter and no matter what you are feeling right now people care about you.

its amazing reading these comments how many people one song has touched. count me inafter going through chronic illness where not even all docs believed i was really physically ill and unable to do things but yet i couldn't do some basic human activities. for my age (walk, school etc.) i really started to feel like i or at least my struggles didn't matter. i didn't feel good enough. then one day after being turned down by employment mb i just layed on my bed sobbing and then i thought of the song matter by for king and country, showed my that i did and do matter and so do my struggles. im still sick but doing better btw
