I have to say this is my ultimate favorite mango tree video review ever.
First of all, that Fruit Punch mango tree you have is so awesome. It looks like 10 feet tall and appears to be very healthy and robust.
I have one too but it’s only 2 years old .Mine is still very young.
I appreciate all your advice from your growing experience in Arizona. It’s definitely amazing and inspiring to see a masterpiece like your mango tree survive in a difficult growing environment like the Arizona desert.
Thank you .
always impressed to see mango trees growing and producing in Arizona... In Central Fl I have a lot of issues with cold as well..
Thank you for all the info! I'm so happy to see how healthy it is.
Dang, I've never seen anyone spend so much money trying to keep a mango tree alive in my entire life. You must really like that mango tree.
I like my plants that much 😁
@@qctropicals No need to explain. I have the exact same mental problem. That's one reason I moved to Florida - just so I could grow tropical fruit. The state is a craphole, but at least I have my garden!
Thank you
Great info as usual. Nice large mango, so much fruit on it! Glad you showed all those flowers and hundreds of fruits and explained most were lost due to the wind because that is what happened to our tree. We had a lot of flowers and fruit and little by little lost the fruits so now I know it was the wind. We ended up with only 3 mangos, but those 3 were perfect and delicious.
Also glad you mentioned the birds don't bother mangos because they don't like the skin, but we still cover them with the orgami bags just to be safe until we get more mangoes we don't want to lose anymore. The Glenn Mango actually has soft skin and you could even eat part of it so I think maybe birds might peck at them.
We have a Glenn Mango here in Tucson, but it's still in a large container and we have to move it inside the garage for a couple weeks in Winter when it gets in the high 20s or even anything under freezing. Scared to put it into the ground until we can find a perfect place for it that won't suffer wind or extreme sun.
Very good info. I killed my.keri and kesar mangoes with my ignorance. I have a Manila mango and and Alampur Baneshah mango. Have had them for three years. Alampur Baneshah is very very slow growing, but both produced flowers this year. I do provide winter protection. We live in Socal. USDA zone 9B. Any advice is appreciated.
Hi. I saw another guy who grows mango trees for fun as a hobby as he doesn't eat mango. However his mangoes are doing so well. He grew his mangoes in a high density environment..so he literally grew a few trees next to eachother in one hole. So because the trees are so close to eachother. They shade eachother from the sun and they shade the ground so little weeds grow and also he doesn't have to water as much because the ground don't dry up so quick. Is this high density way of growing mangoes a good way of growing it for the benefit of the tree? Can they also maybe keep eachother warm in winter if grown I high density?
A micro climate will only help you so much... until your temps hit in the teens and you'll lose everything. I no longer rely on microclimates for cold sensitive plants as my temperatures in the winter are not consistent year to year. High density planning is great until your plants get older and the constant pruning gets old quick.
@@qctropicals thanks for your response. Oh ok I understand 👍 I enjoy the informative content. It's always best to learn from other people's experiences so that we can save time and avoid mistakes that other people has already made or follow procedures that has given people success. So thanks for the info
i am in so cal and our mango trees flower dec-jan. next season i will cut off the blooms in april so that the flowers dont get cold damage. i have most the trees in the ground with no protection
Both my new mango plants died. Both were under a tree. One had plenty sun the other was partial sun. I am in AZ.
Do you know of a mango that flowers in march?
Can you do a video on how you constructed that homemade shade structure?
I have one under the cold protection video in the description. I'll make another one in the near future.
@@qctropicals sounds good thanks! Pls continue to make videos on mango trees, I'm in California and I find these videos very informative and super motivational
Saying it taste amazing is a horrible review we need specifics of what flavors you are tasting. This is a waste of time

Delete this video its a waste of time. You didn't describe the flavor at all
i'll get right on that
