I know a lot about mantises (I have a lot of them as pets) that is a Chinese mantis it, is a female the Chinese mantis prefers flying prey such as moths, butterflies, house flies, blue bottle flies, or green bottle flies. She will eat the meal worms ALSO IT NEEDS LIVE FOOD NOT THE DEAD CRICKETS YOU ARE GIVING HER, but since that mantis was from the wild it may not survive it needs humidity, heat there is a great breeder that sells mantises they are great and they have a variety of them and they are awesome just informing you incase you want to release him back into where he belongs and get a captive bred one! Also if you do choose to send it into the wild again and buy one it needs a lot more decoration in order to molt or feel safe and not stressed another thing how you are keeping that mantis right now is animal abuse it does not have the proper care that it needs and will die if not given the proper care. Humidity and Heat Chinese mantises can tolerate a fair range when it comes to temperature and humidity, although they prefer it on the drier side, and closer to room temperature. They should do well being kept anywhere between 70°F and 85°F. Ideally, humidity should stay in the range of 50% to 60% relative humidity (RH).
The enclosure should be given a light misting at least once a day so that your mantis can drink. When kept in mesh cages, we mist the enclosure twice a day. Most mantises do not like getting sprayed directly, so it is best to try and spray around the mantis, but if you get them a little wet by accident, it is usually no big deal. Use spring water, distilled water, or water filtered by reverse osmosis (RO), but do not use plain tap water.

Also, you might want to think about getting a nicer cage for them that you can easily feed them through. (There's also plenty of little cricket cages where you can breed em in and then easily shake them into the praying mantis cage.) Plus, he needs someplace to hide and better foliage. (Which can absolutely be fake plastic plants) It's too bright in there right now when you have the light on, and because of that light they're constantly panicking because being in the light without a hide usually means they gonna get eat by something.
Also, from what I've heard these guys can be hard to take care of and keep alive. If you want him to survive, you're at least going to have to watch a RUclips video or two about em and the care they need.

@@yeix7159 I don't have one myself, but my special interest is bugs and reptiles. I know a lot about the care they need in general, and a lot of it can translate across. My mom also used to work at a natural science museum, and they had a ton of bug and reptile cases, including praying mantises. Most of what I know specifically comes from there.
