When in doubt, rip it out. 👍 I’m a firm believer in making it the way you want it to look because it’s the work of your hands and so should make you happy.
I know that technically I don't speak for everyone here, but I feel pretty confident in saying that we REALLY don't mind if you want to only do mystery patterns right now. They're so much fun to watch and follow along.
I truly, genuinely, prefer the way yours turned out than the original photo. I'm in love with your mystery pattern series (though I love all your work) so however many you feel like putting out, I'm sure they'll be appreciated! Everyone needs a break from the big stuff now and then anyway, and if you're happy-we're happy.
Perhaps your son could put together a "Mystery Accessories" pile for you, of hats and scarves, and a variety of wearables you'd like to make- but more contemporary, like the 70's to now. Then you wouldn't have to decide, but you'd still get an accessory. They wouldn't have to necessarily be a complete mystery, like you could pick out the patterns, but all identifiers are still removed. Either way, I really enjoy what you do.
Hi Corinna. I love the silver thread it is appropriate for the season. It also gives an art deco vibe. They’re both beautiful. Of course I prefer yours.
I like yours better. They are both lovely. Your stitches are more even than theirs. You do so well with that small thread. My hands no longer do too well with it and it is rather painful these days to use it. I enjoy watching you do it. It is fun to watch and l enjoy the mystery of not knowing what it is. Keep doing them. Take care and have a Blessed week.
I love this pattern. Thank you. I combined your version and the patterns version of the last row and got a beautiful doily. It gave a blossoming flower affect. Your mystery series is wonderful.
It's said we learn from our mistakes in this case I'm learning from you. I'm new to crochet and really love a mystery and I agree both look great thanks.
It's cool. A cute little doilie my grandma loved doilies she made them and had them all over the living room furniture, she was born in 1907 so it's in her timeframe. What a sweet woman she was. I wish she was still here😢❣️ wow that's a nice pattern I like both but hats off for the creator on that 1930's pattern.dang I like that pattern to bad I'm not into doilies. For real!
It really was fate! Perfect for Halloween! I do like the original for the whole spiderweb look, but I like yours for a doily maybe?? I love happy accidents! Love your vintage mystery series! They are so much fun! Please let your son know that I appreciate his time in picking things out and doing the work to keep them a surprise!
Top of the morning! I so enjoy watching you create mystery crochet projects! You are like Bob Ross videos only your wonderful art is crocheting. Have a beautiful day.
Look at that. 60,000+. I knew it. You are going yo continue to grow. Congratulations you deserve it do much. I love this pattern. Keep up the awesomeness.
Fate and karma are just with you 🧡🧡🧡 this was beautiful and I prefer yours… fun fun fun… vintage patterns need to come with magic decoder ring like out of cracker Jacks box. 😊
The original seems dated to me. You managed to update and maintain the original intent. I also think my sideboard needs three of theese maybe in orange.
Hi Corinna another great mystery pattern. Yours turned out awesome. Although I'd like to see you make it like the pattern picture too. I do look forward to more mystery pattern videos 😊 ❤
I like how yours came out! I think it’s pretty with that sort of shell shape you mistakenly made. Failure but awesome! 🕸️🕷️🧡 You didn’t really fail, though. You came up with another version of the pattern! 😄🧶
Hello Corrina, this spider web doily is so cute. Even if it's different from the picture. I really like it, I think it turned out just as nice as the original. looking forward to seeing more of your videos. I really enjoy watching them, to see how the mystery pattern turns out.❤
Love your little silver spider web! I kinda like the "correct" one too! I see them strung into hoops, with little crochet spiders crawling on them - hanging in a window or on a wall. Very timely and super adorable! Another mega success for you as far as I'm concerned! Thank you for sharing your passion for vintage crochet with us. And in such a fun way!
Again? What about the promissed break? 😁 well, yI am glad every time a video comes up...but my list is getting longer and longer Wow... your membbers went up to 66.600 almost the devils number, fits with spooky season...😉
I love these mystery crochets. Watching them relaxes me. One thing that would be fun is if we could get a screen shot of the pattern ahead of time so we could follow along more easily!
I really admire how good you are at getting these mystery patterns to work out without any knowledge of what you’re about to make and by reading old patterns!! I’m hoping that watching you will eventually help me learn to read a normal pattern so I can make projects without a video tutorial! Your awesome, much love
I love watching these videos. You remind me that most problems can be solved if you just read the instructions slowly, take it a bit at a time, and trust the pattern. And even if it doesn't look exactly like the picture, you may still get something beautiful.
I went to a real estate sale in 1990s and I found many crocheted doilies. This pattern reminds me of the doilies that this person had collected. She had many things from her parents (1930s). I found that enjoy making them for myself. You are much better reading the patterns than I am. Doilies were used for couches, table coverage under lamps, dishes. Very homemaker! You did an awesome job predicting the materials. Beautiful work!
Google shows a dtr is 5 loops on hook. To me it looked like you just did a tr. Enjoy watching you. At 86 I remember sitting on a stool at my grandmothers side as she sat in her rocking chair singing religious song & crocheting. You do beautiful work.❤
I liked yours better than the pattern picture. Yours is nice and tidy. There is a little loose and it almost looks unfinished. But either one is cool. I love the mystery patterns. It is what got me onto your channel.
I'm new around here but I LOVE these mystery patterns and you know what, I can't even crochet!!! Both versions are lovely but I think your edging is quite charming!
The pattern just for the flower turned out beautiful, I will use the border you made in some projects. It was very subtle but gave a very interesting feeling. I loved it. Both yours and the original turned out super cute.
Thank you so much for watching! Please hit the " Like" button above if you did like the pattern and Subscribe for Tutorials like this and more! :)
When in doubt, rip it out. 👍 I’m a firm believer in making it the way you want it to look because it’s the work of your hands and so should make you happy.
That would make a beautiful snood. Or even just a bun cover with the right ribbon creating a draw string.
I know that technically I don't speak for everyone here, but I feel pretty confident in saying that we REALLY don't mind if you want to only do mystery patterns right now. They're so much fun to watch and follow along.
I actually think your Accidental creation is prettier. Well done 👏
hiya corinne! i like your version better. even if it does curl, its adorable. right on!
Thank you so much 😊
I prefer your smoother outer edge version.
I love the mystery pattern series. I don't mind the break from larger projects at all.
Black would make it look like a spiderweb. I love it.
Perhaps your son could put together a "Mystery Accessories" pile for you, of hats and scarves, and a variety of wearables you'd like to make- but more contemporary, like the 70's to now. They wouldn't have to necessarily be a complete mystery, like you could pick out the patterns, but all identifiers are still removed. Either way, I really enjoy what you do.
I prefer yours😘
I like both of them! I think I like yours just a bit better actually :)
I haven’t read any other comments but I have to say I like your rendering of the pattern so much better than the original. Good on ya girl!
I like what you did way better than the pattern. 🌺
This would make a pretty doily with no seasonal references whatsoever, in any colour!
Hi Corinna. I love the silver thread it is appropriate for the season. It also gives an art deco vibe.
They’re both beautiful. Of course I prefer yours.
Yours looks like a brittle starfish, with surrounding sea shells. 🐚 I totally thought it would have been an oceanic doily. 🌊
LOVE your version! I love how you just plow ahead through complete uncertainty 🤩
Thanks so much! 😊
I have seen similar doilies like the one you made. Both are pretty.
I like yours better. They are both lovely. Your stitches are more even than theirs. You do so well with that small thread. My hands no longer do too well with it and it is rather painful these days to use it. I enjoy watching you do it. It is fun to watch and l enjoy the mystery of not knowing what it is. Oh thank you!
It's like a spider web! Very october
Yep, looks like a spider web, lol. It's beautiful in the silver! And looks beautiful both ways!!

It's said we learn from our mistakes in this case I'm learning from you. I'm new to crochet and really love a mystery and I agree both look great thanks.
Yours is nicer and more compact than the original.
For real!
Yours would be a brilliant decoration sewn on to a skirt as a repeat. I love these mystery patterns. Keep at it.
Your finished.project is much neater and lovely.
Beautiful web. Lovely ❤. Love the dollies. Both yours and theres.
Thanks so much 😊
Such pretty thread. I like both versions very much. Happy accident is right.😊
I actually like your version more. Great job.
I like yours better. So pretty and dainty. The picture is too fussy for me.😊
Thank you! 😊
Yes, I think so too. ❤
P.S. I love your secretary (fan) it reminds me of my mom's old house. It's a very nice ambient noise
Yours is so much better in my humble opinion
Fate and karma are just with you 🧡🧡🧡 this was beautiful and I prefer yours… fun fun fun… vintage patterns need to come with magic decoder ring like out of cracker Jacks box. 😊
Wow this is so much fun ❤
Too cute! You are very clever!
Thank you! 😊
The original seems dated to me. You managed to update and maintain the original intent. I also think my sideboard needs three of theese maybe in orange.
I was thinking the same thing ❤
how beautiful! Loved yours more than the original!
Very pretty, it would be nice to also see the picture version made up also. I do enjoy your mystery patterns, look forward to the next one.
Hi Corinna another great mystery pattern. Yours turned out awesome. Although I'd like to see you make it like the pattern picture too. I do look forward to more mystery pattern videos 😊 ❤
Yes, I'd like to watch it again done the "correct" way, although I love the way Corinna's turned out!
I like how yours came out! I think it’s pretty with that sort of shell shape you mistakenly made. Failure but awesome! 🕸️🕷️🧡 You didn’t really fail, though. You came up with another version of the pattern! 😄🧶
Thank you! 😊
Love it & I’m super happy to have more mysteries. I think your version had a much cleaner look, so yay for happy accidents ❤️❤️👏👏🇬🇧

Hello Corrina, this spider web doily is so cute. Even if it's different from the picture. I really like it, I think it turned out just as nice as the original. looking forward to seeing more of your videos. I really enjoy watching them, to see how the mystery pattern turns out.❤

Still turned out great. Please keep doing these vintage patterns, I love every one you have done.
I think I link your spiderweb better. X
Love the mystery patterns :) I prefer your version of the spiderweb xx
Even at the best of times I can't read a doily pattern anymore, I have to use charts. So you did extremely well with that antique pattern!
I really admire how good you are at getting these mystery patterns to work out without any knowledge of what you’re about to make and by reading old patterns!! I’m hoping that watching you will eventually help me learn to read a normal pattern so I can make projects without a video tutorial! Your awesome, much love
I'm loving your interpretation of this one, as you say they are both lovely❤nothing like a good mystery❤🇦🇺
I love watching these videos. You remind me that most problems can be solved if you just read the instructions slowly, take it a bit at a time, and trust the pattern. And even if it doesn't look exactly like the picture, you may still get something beautiful.
Yep, I thought it was a spider web! Both are gorgeous ❤
Loving your work,
The way you explain and demonstrate how a stitch is done is first class! Who doesn’t love vintage 🎉🎉🎉🎉❤
Thank you so much!
Love a spider web doily!❤
The mystery crochet projects are my favorite thing on youtube! I love your other content as well but I LOVE LOVE this series.
Yay! Thank you!
I went to a real estate sale in 1990s and I found many crocheted doilies. This pattern reminds me of the doilies that this person had collected. She had many things
