@@atkiino849 No, it was not related to the world cup nor olympics. caspas is right, this was annual competion of the two national teams since 1965 or so (the commentator says it was 27th competion in 1991). They were undisputed power houses of the women's volleyball then. There might be mens competion as well, though I'm not sure of it.
