This is a great source and super simple to teach my 7 year old student. She asked me if there were 2 suns because when it was dawn where she lived, my time zone is still in the afternoon the previous day. I explained about the earth's rotation and she understood but having a visual aid will really solidify the concept. Thank you so much!
I wish I have a wife that likes study and learn about astronomy, I was going to study for astronomy and I even enrolled in college I got an scholarship for UCSD. But she never supported me or give me motivations to keep studying. Always thinking and talking shit about me going to school just to see the girls. That put me down and took all my ambitions to stay in college and study astronomy which I always love and like to learn about Andromeda and planets. I'm 52 now still stuck on FUCKEN IRONWORKING ALL FUCK UP FROM MY BODY AND ALL I DO IS WATCH VIDEOS OF ASTRONOMY THAT'S WHAT KEEPS MY PAIN AWAY
"the creativity of nature". Think about that statement for a second. How can a blind, impersonal force be creative? Spoiler alert: it can't. God created nature. Wake up.
1:29 cool fact but totally the wrong illustration, because it illustrates how planets rotate around the sun and that has to do with the year, not the day
I see where you're coming from, and it's a great observation! Stars do actually move across the sky at night, but they appear to move very slowly. This motion is caused by the Earth spinning on its axis. Here’s how it works: Earth’s Rotation: The Earth spins on its axis, taking about 24 hours to complete one full rotation. This spinning is what gives us day and night. Star Movement: Because of the Earth's rotation, stars appear to move from east to west in the night sky, just like the Sun does during the day. It's like we're on a big spinning ball, and as we turn, the stars seem to move across the sky. Slow Motion: The stars are so far away that their movement can be hard to notice unless you're watching for a long time. If you were to take pictures of the stars every hour throughout the night and then looked at those pictures in order, you would see that the stars have moved. Constellations: Even though stars are moving across the sky, the constellations (patterns of stars) we see don't change shape. This is because all the stars in a constellation are moving together, so the pattern stays the same. So, the next time you're looking at the stars, try to notice how they change position over the course of the night. It's a slow dance that's been happening for billions of years! 💫✨
When north is summer, the south is in their winter. Time zones are because of the ANGLE of the sun. If all compasses point NORTH, sun and moon go EAST to WEST. Shouldn't the north be center of world map? Things would be understood much easier.
Because the earth rotates, and therefore the angle at which the sun is hitting a particular place on the earth's surface is not the same. During the morning or afternoon, the sun is not directly facing you, it's at an angle, so the earth is not absorbing as much light/heat as it would if the sun was facing you directly during noon.
This is a great source and super simple to teach my 7 year old student. She asked me if there were 2 suns because when it was dawn where she lived, my time zone is still in the afternoon the previous day. I explained about the earth's rotation and she understood but having a visual aid will really solidify the concept. Thank you so much!
Maybe the student could teach you, as we are not spinning.

See how at night time the stars are stationary and the earth is spinning, then why don’t the stars move across the sky each night? They stay still
I see where you're coming from, and it's a great observation! Stars do actually move across the sky at night, but they appear to move very slowly. This motion is caused by the Earth spinning on its axis.
Here’s how it works:
Earth’s Rotation: The Earth spins on its axis, taking about 24 hours to complete one full rotation.
so where is the moon or there is no moon?
When north is summer, the south is in their winter. Time zones are because of the ANGLE of the sun. If all compasses point NORTH, sun and moon go EAST to WEST. Shouldn't the north be center of world map? Things would be understood much easier.
Then why is the sun hotter during midday than in the morning and in the afternoon 🤔
This is a very good and interesting question!
Direct radiation fall on earth
Because the earth rotates, and therefore the angle at which the sun is hitting a particular place on the earth's surface is not the same. During the morning or afternoon, the sun is not directly facing you, it's at an angle, so the earth is not absorbing as much light/heat as it would if the sun was facing you directly during noon.

But why does the earth rotate?!
It still blows my mind that we are spinning at over 1000mph and circling the sun at 66 thousand mph! You’d think we’d fly right off! Lol
why do i need to make the speed of the video to 1.25x to understand the video

how possible if earth revolves at the speed of 1670 km/hour ?
The earth is very big, so 1600 km is roughly 1/24th of it's diameter.
