That “Fuck Off” at 12:50 was so genuine

I had to check who published the book, because it sounds like it’s in absolutely dire need of editing.
The publisher is Flatiron (an imprint of Macmillan), whose philosophy is to “publish a relatively small number of titles so that each book could be supported by an extraordinary amount of editorial attention, marketing, and publicity.” I don’t think they focus on all parts of their mission equally 😂😂😂

      Right. What "editorial attention"?

I love a good rant, especially about a book whose premise sounds appealing, but whose execution is garbage.

I loved Circe from Madeline Miller so much that i always feared reading other 'feminist greek myth retellings', i didnt want to be disappointed. (Although to be fair the 'feminist' part of Circe could be debated haha) Because in the last years (especially after Song and Achilles and Circe were release i think) these retellings became so So many. When Ariadne released i just rolled my eyes. Your rant review kinda proved my point xD
Ok but people falling in love in like three seconds in greek myths is very common xD
    I really liked your video!

I completely agree with you. As soon as Madeline Miller dropped those two, everyone was writing Greek myth retellings all of a sudden.

I hated Ariadne and tolerated Elektra, and I'm PRAYING that Atalanta is somewhat good

@@KutseyKion No I felt that. I really enjoy Greek myth retellings, but this one really missed the mark for me.
