All mutants do seem to be far tankier than they were in previous titles. As they are now, it feels less like they are hard to kill powerful monsters and more like they are just built to waste your ammo.
bro the amount of fallout fans, which i am on. but they act like this game is knock off fallout and are refunding it cause its not fallout. when i think that the og call of pripyat is like one of the best game experiences ive ever had. then i got anomly, then i got gamma and that is one of the best gaming experiences ive ever played. fallout pales in comparison, the only one i can think of that is kinda on stalkers level is fallout nv.
It feels more like dying light 2 then Fallout, that's what i feel. But even doe Stalker or Fallout BOTH GREAT. LUCKily we're not comparing Stalker to Metro, lol.
@FallenAngelGER okay so it's not just me that got a Dying Light 2 vibe? Honestly I immediately thought of DL2 when we got trailers. It looks pretty similar
Fallout NV is a much better story game. Good meaningful choices and pretty stellar writing. If the gunplay was really clean and smooth it would be a bit better than stalker overall
Very well could be. The early weapons are somewhat weak. But I’ve pushed my Viper into AP, I just havn’t had a chance to see if it makes a real difference against Bloodsuckers or Flesh. Though Flesh do feel excessively hostile. More so than in earlier titles.
Idk if the 870 shotgun is weak or not, but i slammed 6 shells into a psychic mutant's head and he just kinda waddled around completely unfazed. Idk what its called, the tall one that zooms your camera in with its attack.
@@mrman6984 right, found one at a place literally called "Death Cave" and it took 6 shells and a dozen AKM rounds to put down. Mutants in this game are damn tough mfs
The weapon upgrades and weapon progression doesn't really do much as far as damage. A lot of the guns found early can be used into mid game. Ive been using the scoped AK74 you get from the water tower for 20 hours lol
Just curious will any of these mods impact the updates the devs are generally gonna be adding in the future? Not a big modder just a question from a fan
I'm using only 2 mods: 1 - slowdown in game time, because it's fucked when 1h irl = 1day in game (now i have 1h irl = 4h in game) and decreased weapon degradation (50%)
I'm hoping for 4 mods/updates to the game: 1. Anomaly Healing mechanics, 2. Anomaly Weapon maintenance mechanics, 3. better AI and spawning, 4. more active PDA updates. I hate that the world feels so lifeless without the PDA constantly going and the constant enemies milling about the areas. I don't want them to be spawning in next to me, I want to see them fighting off in the distance. Oh, and of course some more goddamn optimization. Then the game will be a 10/10 for me.
The devs did say that the A Life (or whatever the faction AI system is called) is currently broken and is being worked on. Rn it just kinda doesnt exist, so enemies spawn recurrently very often.
All I can do is laugh at those trying to play this with a controller. Which is why those complaining it's not Fallout don't like it. Those games were eventually designed for controller usage with the VATS and mechanics that suited the slow gameplay those titles offer. Stalker is more of a FPS sim than an acrade game, another reason they don't like it.
Not really a sim game. It's pretty limited compared to actual sims, it's more challenging and immersive. Anomaly/gamma were proper sims and escape from tarkov is a proper sim. You can't even check mags, check firing mode, pack mags in stalker 2 like you can in tarkov. Future mods will definitely make this into a sim and I hope they come soon.
1:09 WEAK I've played Stalker AREA with the Volume limit! Unironically enjoyed it, the Backpacks were goated. They didn't increase carry weight you had to use it like a backpack which was super cool! Hope that mod comes to stalker 2
Not surpised there's alreadsy mods just a few days after release. Though most will probably come after the devs patch up the game a bit and the updates slow down.
I would rather have realistic weapon degradation (real weapons can get through thousands of rounds before stuff starts breaking and even bandits wouldn't all be carrying around guns that are about to fall apart) and have other things more difficult, like smarter combat AI low sell prices, expensive ammo, or something.
Bro, it literally has been one freaking day, also, i find it astoundly funny how the first mods were made to people who thought this was just a Fallout™ but Chernobyl. When i have to explain what STALKER is to people, i like to say that it's a mix of Dark Souls and Fallout, more Dark Souls than Fallout, literally the soulsborne of survival horrors
Lol rather than the mod with no durability loss I'd have loved if there was a mod that added in the Anomaly Weapon Maintenance where there was even more disabilities to manage
The absolute best and most important mod is hidden under UI in the settings menu. It's called Threat indicator. TURN IT OFF! Then HIT INDICATOR OFF, then disabled compass and under GAME turn off OBJECT HIGHLIGHTING. And put the reticle on dot if they don't let you turn it off. This enables the ultra secret immersion mod. You're welcom3! All this should be off by default and only in be under accessibility options. And if you're not deaf or otherwise can not understand language then of course turn off subtitles in any form.

Good video mugsy! And hey fellow stalkers, careful in cordon! Theres a burer hiding in a tunnel right behind and to the right of rookie village
I remember CoP had weapon upgrade mechanic, so could it be monster tankines is due to the early game low dmg weapon?

No, but the mods will be affected by the updates, the mods will then need to be updated. Not a super big issues.

I agree I’m in pc and started playing it with pad and wasn’t having a good time .. very strangely mapped.. definitely needs keyboard and mouse

Grok downgrades tankiness in STALKER 2 and upgrades tankiness in Anomaly. 😵💫Will wait for Haru, Maid and company.

You can expect them to more than likely never come. I'm not sure about that being a priority for the Devs.

It run on Unreal Engine 5, many moders know how to add mod on this engine and have done it for years.
