About the first feature I would just add, that it also works at higher speeds. I experienced that once, when cars in front of me suddenly stopped on a highway, and I was just in the middle of conversation and my reaction time was at least 0.5-1s slower than the one from the car! It doesn't sound much, but it felt really good that car started breaking on his own (and flashing danger signs in HUD & IC as well) to avoid any danger of collision. This really improves safety so much.
Great to hear! I also personally think BMW's do this but BMW just mentions that it's liable for city speeds so that they aren't liable for some instances when it doesn't go off. Glad to hear it saved you! Features like these are becoming more and more important these days.
Another safety tip: there's a stalk on the left of the steering wheel that shows other people that you're about to cut them off. I know bmw owners don't use it, but it's very helpful when you're speeding 120mph down the highway
I do need to know where the Active PDC Emergency Braking setting is. I don’t recall seeing that when we were setting up at the dealership. Thank you! I love your videos!
Sure! If you press the PDC button which is located on your lower center console near the shifter (button that looks like a P with a cone beside it) press that. Then on the screen that comes up, I believe on the lower right side you should see "Settings" once you go into that you should see, Emergency PDC w/ Brake Intervention.
What about emergency stopping if your hands are off the steering wheel! Blinks yellow then red then braking then full stop ? Just want to know when going to full stop will it change lane or it will stay in the same lane ? Pls help.
Does the cross traffic warning when backing up only warn or will it stop the car if equipped with Driver Assistance Professional Package? I just picked up my I4 M50 and there is so much to learn especially since my last car was a 2009 VW.
Hey Michelle, I know if you have that package it's designed to stop only for FRONT collisions and this is only possible because of the front radar system that comes with the package. It will not work in conjunction with cross traffic warning since there is no radar system in the rear. BMWs do have brake intervention for park distance control which you can turn on in the settings (where the car CAN brake, but this is more designed for slow parking scenarios)
Thanks ! Question about motion detector : If car is still turned on, then locked from outside, then driver & key is away from the car, will this motion detector be active ?
Great question! I would have to try this one out. But I do believe that you cannot lock the car if the engine is running. Therefore would not be able to proceed to deactivating the motion detector.
It could be either that you leave your key inside or are not locking the vehicle. If you do want those off, simply hold down the volume knob for about 3 secs and it will turn off.

It sometimes doesn’t work if you are backing into a wall, beware!
You somehow only recorded on the left microphone for some reason, it sounds better at 1:33

Hey buddy do you have launch control on x drive 40i?
Im quite sure it's equipped with it!
Why do the lights and stereo stay on after I'm out of the car?

@@BeamerView yes that’s what’s happening when I park in the garage so I’m not locking it. Thank you!!!

Why the steering wheel looks so weird
BMW iX features a "different" steering wheel haha. It isn't too too bad when using it but does take a couple times to get use to.
ok now do m3 comp
