At the time of this top50 list, only Pete Maravich had passed away (just 40 years old). Now, for the top75, Paul Arizin, Elgin Baylor, Wilt Chamberlain, Dave DeBusschere, Hal Greer, John Havlicek, Sam Jones, Moses Malone, George Mikan, Dolph Schayes, Bill Sharman, Nate Thurmond, and Wes Unseld… are no longer with us. And then of course Kobe Bryant, selected now for the 75th anniversary team and not here to see it, similar to Pistol Pete (Kobe died just one year older, at 41). RIP to all of them

I think it'd be tough because post-Celtics Big 3, most younger NBA players have been on several teams as compared to 25 years ago when players stayed on one team their entire career. So they could get jackets representing those teams; Zeke could wear Pistons and Magic could wear Lakers and Jordan could wear Bulls, but what jacket would Lebron wear today? Cavs, which he spent the most time with? Heat, where he was most successful? Or Lakers, the team he currently plays for? No one jacket could adequately summarize players' careers today.

Favourite moment - 6:55 when Wilt states he's got about a year or 2 left up his sleeve to play NBA for 10-15 minutes a game.
Sadly he passed away just under 3 years later but what a incredible larger than life being.
Can sense Wilt's aura in this footage...especially when he's speaking to Jordan.
That moment when Wilt, the iconic mythical colossus interacts with the greatness of Jordan?
That is a recorded moment that will stand the test of time.

@@_HunnidProofHow many NBA records did Michael Jordan set and own during his NBA career ?
Did he win more championships than Bill Russell ?
Did he score more career points than Kareem Abdul Jabbar ?
His basketball career stats and total high school, college and basketball championships won pale in comparison to Kareem Abdul Jabbar or Bill Russell. Jordan was a great player but not greater than Kareem, Russell or Wilt Chamberlain when it comes to high school, college and NBA stats. Jordans overall stats and championships pale in comparison Wilt Chamberlain who owns 72 NBA records and Bill Russell record 11 NBA championships.

    • @_HunnidProof

@@jerrysmith8899 we not talking about total, we’re talking about the NBA. And again, YOU CANT TEACH SIZE, if Jordan was Wilts Size he would’ve broken the NBA. All time points scored, Jordan 11Xs, scoring champ, Jordan, 10 Xs, if you wanna talk about high school - NBA, you win, but strictly NBA, Jordan was better than everyone you named. Russell wasn’t even the 2nd best offensive player on his own team, he had Cousy and Havelichek, he never averaged more than 19PPG, Jordan never averaged LESS than 20PPG and the only time he averaged less than 22PPG was his final year in the league. 7 straight years averaging over 30. Kareem missed the All-star in his prime (78) and as great as Wilt was, he only won 2 chips. JORDAN dominated the league for a decade, even better than a decade dating back to late 80s, the only player TO THIS DAY to win MVP, DPOY, AND scoring title (35PPG) in the same season, the only player in history to have multiple seasons where he had 200 blocks and 100 steals, I will remind you that this was a 6’6 190 pound shooting guard in a big man era doing this, not a 7’1 center. Jordan is the ALPHA of NBA greats, everyone you named falls under him. And that’s not a knock on them. It just is what it is.
