I went to val thorens with me mate, back in 1990,back then i was 20yrs old,we went visiting 2 of our other mates who were the manager and chef,i say chef, the owners of the frog and roast beef, were actually having the kitchen fitted while we were there,we had a great time, meeting new people who worked there from different countries,we drove from england, to val thorens and back, going through and stopping at there little villages on the way,i didnt really appreciate it then coz i was young, but looking back it was a brilliant experience, and any 20 somethings out there thinking of doing the same,do it.hope i havent bored you all.
don't forget to try to count the number of ski lift.. it's insane, it's like 200.. there's more ski lift in the 3 valley than in the top 5 US ski resorts combined... it's amazing how vast this place is...
Not very expensive for mountain restaurants. Here is the menu for Chez Pépé Nicolas: www.chezpepenicolas.com/data/cms/files/Carte_Midi_ete_2021(3).pdf Much cheaper than neighbouring Courchevel
Puisque vous ne vous souvenez plus : Le plat du jour chez Pepe Nicolas ressemble à du canard. I think you’re French but I also write it in English : as you don't remember : the dish at Pepe Nicolas seems to be some duck.
If you're looking for some adventure/excitement don't go on the snowmobile tour, I thought it looked really amazing in the evening seeing them go into the mountains. So I finally decided I just try it (had to do it alone because my friends didn't had the money so 150 euro's by myself / years ago so probably even more by now) but they go really slow and stop in multiple places took take pictures at viewing areas, although it looked beautiful it seemed like an easy way to get to the promised 1.5 hr 'tour' of snowmobiling with more waiting time. They didn't have the fat tire bikes back then but that seems more exciting, definitely want to try that out.
It zigzag on a cruiser which is green and blue. You can see a bit better on my Hotel Koh-I Nor video in the intro and balcony view (if you haven’t seen it yet): ruclips.net/video/d8GY5_79h48/видео.htmlsi=9A-LMd7LR9abY6ko

I cannot imagine how expensive those restaurants are

Courchevel is 150 Euro for a steak

Europe or EU?
Zermatt is highest skiresort in Europe
That’s confusing 🫤 Zermatt is 1620m altitude, Val Thorens is 2300m in altitude
20:12 when is this filmed? What mouth?
Last year: 29 Jan - 03 Feb 2022
why is everything so empty terraces, ski lifts restaurants.
It was in January outside school holidays
C’est la France 🇫🇷 c’est pas l’europe 🗿
La France ne fait pas partie de l’Europe?
C’est donc les deux. France’s highest ski resort and officially Europe ‘s highest ski resort…
Beautiful ! I've been there 20yrs ago it was amazing. The logistics for such a particular town must be crazy ...
