- I was close to being the 3rd person to making the 42s in these karts but made a huge mistake as a had a not so great feeling kart (as you heard me complaining throughout)
Disappointing to see they've gone electric. At least they've kept the layout, unlike at Reading.
I do miss petrol, even though their karts were pretty worn out, the last kart I had there was the slowest thing I'd ever driven. 😂 Plus the weight of the electric really doesn't suit my style it exacerbates the worst elements of my driving. 😬
I was pleasantly surprised when I went on Friday, the electric karts are pretty good, linear power delivery.... About 3 seconds faster than the petrol ones.
Hit a wall with lap times at the minute. Want to be consistently sub 44 but it’s difficult.
Can you offer up any advice on some of the corners.
On the mezzanine are you braking or lifting accelerator?
On the bend adjacent to pit what’s your braking point as I seem to lose momentum here.
Where do you find is the best place to boost ?
Same. I once got consistent 44s in the petrol karts but then they switched to electric and I'm really bad at braking with them. On the mezzanine I used to slightly tap the accelerator to rotate the kart but with the new ones I can't seem to do good. I'm getting 46s now.
I just went 2 hours ago and did a 46.048... Asked the staff for some tips, he said only braking points on the track are the left hairpin at bottom of downhill ramp, and the following left turn hairpin immediately after... I tried this and got 44. 880 in next session!
Im going in a couple days, cant wait. What do you think of it?
I dont really like it icl. I feel disconected to the karts
It was great in my opinion. I went 3 days ago. They've got new suits and helmets too.
All the karts are probably like that if they are brand new. The tyres need some time to wear in.
What’s your fastest so far and on which speed level?
Ive only done a 43.2 on speed 3 m8 im pretty slow. Im going to the event tomorrow if you wanna come
@@kaykarting that’s not slow lol. See you tomorrow.
@@kaykarting 43.2s on speed 3 is rapid mate. What seat position you using on the new electrics?
@@DrR1pper ahh thanks bro.
Im pushing my seat all the way back and i still cant fit in the karts so no matter what ill always max out the seat in these biz elecs.
I honestly hate these karts so much man i feel diconnected entirely

The video seem’s speeded up lol. Good laps tho. The electric karts dont do fit well with the whole race feel of the docklands. No sound or anything is so odd man
Yh i really dont like the way the karts handle at all. Thanks tho man
@@kaykarting i think they have ruined them. No sound , to slippery , heavy , handles awful. They have well in truly ruined my favourite track. Going to have to start doing out door tracks from now on unfortunately with all team sports going electric
I think they’re quicker on the take off, no delay in reaching high speed! I’ve not been able to test my lap times yet really as others drivers have been SHOCKING at my sessions. I drove here on Sunday and someone had to be removed via ambulance during our session so we all got taken off track 🤨
@@Wonkygolfer-7zf oh thats not ideal
@@Wonkygolfer-7zf mate if you aren’t a member already become one & do members night’s. You dont get no messing around. You get proper racing & no hold up’s. Normal public sessions are a waste of time. People dont pay attention to lights & rules. I agree with you with the pull off but after that they are heavy , slippery , handling is not great & for me no sound on a go kart is a complete mood killer, the sound of the engine roaring is what makes a race track . At least with F1 london they have made the electric karts with simulated race noise coming out of the karts.
Is it just me but I’m sure the Marshalls are a lot more strict now
The lady in the briefing said to not accelerate down the ramp and on the straight after the ramp lol, I ended setting a 43.8 not the best but first time in electric karts since the bikc regionals in Brighton
i go to the same gokarting
i saw u
