the striker was either made out of a file or 1095 steel and the pin was made out of a separate small diameter round stock. think I used a file on that one. trick is to get the striker tail to be fairly smooth and even and the pin's bend to go around the pin evenly as well. if it sticks much anywhere it will be more of a problem to put on.
