Romy Schneider was an internationally celebrated beauty. Her soulful eyes, alluring smile, seductive lips along with her magnetic on & off-screen personality made her desirable to every one who watched her films or met her in real life. Her daughter has her facial outline, especially her jaw; however, if the interviewer hadn't introduced her as Schneider's daughter, I would never have known or watched the interview. Romy Schneider's life was a tragedy after her son's death. She spiraled downwards with pills & alcohol without wanting or seeking or accepting help. I've been a fan for over 60 years; when I watch her films -- her radiance & sublimely ethereal personality shine through. She was truly unique -- there will never be anyone like her ever again. She's pure magic on screen because she was happy, she was in love, & the camera captured her moods & mood swings. She left an indelible mark on a competitive, challenging, and emotionally-draining industry that keeps on taking without giving anything in return. When I watch her films, I am transported to a bygone era when good scripts were enhanced by great actors & directors, thereby providing a unique cinematic experience for the audience members. It's unfortunate that Schneider didn't live long enough to get to know, to love & to bring up her daughter. I'm glad that her daughter, Sarah, has such a close bond with her own daughter -- Romy Schneider's granddaughter.
I watched Romy's documentary. Why were the producers, and director, not put her last film on a hiatus? Romy went through hell before she died. She was lovely. Rest in peace, Romy and David.
She now has a daughter of her own, and can demonstrate that eternal bond that she had (though short) with her mother. I wonder what her child looks like, does she have those beautiful blue eyes as her mother and grandmother? Or are they as black as volcano rocks, hair fine like sheaths of wheat? Romy, would have made a wonderful grandmother. I think if she had not died of a broken heart, she would have left film making and just go into solitude.

Sounds like lovely lady..but she does not have the exquisite beauty of her mother. If you did not know Romy Schneider was her mother, you would never know. And I'm good with faces. So sad, to grow up without your mother. My own mother, loves her Sisi movies.
