Duckie Alexander I’d say he wasn’t a failure, it took two of the best kingsman there are to kill him. And they definitely had some trouble doing it. I think he deserves a little credit.
Aside from the meticulous choreography and amazing soundtrack, the attention to detail is incredible e.g. the laser lasso's reflection can be seen on Harry's eyepatch at 00:19 . I LOVE these movies.
One of the most criminally underrated parts of this movie is just how many cuts they can hide while making it FEEL like continuous shots. Not on the level of the church fight from the first movie but still extremely good flow for the scene.
Nothing he just gets up asks where he is, the fight and music stops, they quickly turn to face him and eggsy just throws another pan at his face and he falls down, gets up and is like "are we still fighting?" and everything just starts up again, I think would've killed me with laughter

Poor Whiskey. He may have crossed the line by trying to kill Harry and let all drug users around the world die, but I'm still feeling sorry for him. He lost his wife because of some junkies, no wonder he wants to create a world, where no person would have to suffer because of some drug addicts. And his backstory makes his gruesome demise so undeserving. I think they should've just knock him out cold and take him into custody, instead of killing him.

Exactly, I wish he could've turned back to the good side. After learning a druggie killed his wife I felt so bad for Whiskey, even though he wanted all the people who did drugs to die. Charlie deserved the meat grinder way more. I liked Whiskey's character a lot more than Channing Tatum's honestly.

I don't like that they had a traitor twist. They should've had him be innocent and Harry is scolded more harshly for being wrong, then Whiskey comes in and fights them anyway except now it's cuz he's pissed off about getting killed
Don't forget, Harry's grown a bit rusty due to forgetting who he was for part of the movie. Merlin pointed out earlier that it would take time for him to be as kickass as he was in the first film.
It's so funny, in the cable car control room, rusty super spy Harry misses the guy with his tranquilizer dart. Then he has to clunk the guy with the fire extinguisher, "terribly sorry!"
When Eggsy dodges the lasso, the loop is up and open for him to dive through. When Whiskey swings the lasso at Harry, it's sideways, cutting through the stools. The only move Harry had to avoid it was drop the way he did. He may not of got the dodge, but he gets that great angry "Fuck you," look when he's pulling the lasso over his head.

I watched both movies about 2 days ago and I love this series. The King’s Man comes out a couple days before my B-Day too. I love the action, the comedy, and the story but something about Kingsman fight scenes feel so different from your average Marvel/big budget action movie and I really appreciate it.
God this is one of the best fights ever recorded in film history for the camera work alone. One of the others is also in this film, the opening taxi fight is jaw dropping.

It was supposed to be Channing Tatum, but unexpected scheduling conflicts came up, and wasn't able to put as much time into Golden Circle as was needed, so the script was changed.
I love scenes like this. No dialogue, just a constant fight scene. Also, scenes like this tend to alter time perception. Not sure how they do it, but by the time this thing ends, it's like oh! It's been two and half minutes? It felt longer than that.
I found the meat grinder death a bit extreme. I kind of understand where Whiskey was coming from. He lost his family because of a tragedy caused by meth users. Also, he was mostly helpful for the majority of the film. It’s not until this scene where we know for certain that he betrayed the kingsman
Nah, Whiskey's logic of 'meth users killed my family so everyone who has used drugs must die' is the equivalent of 'a man who was driving a car struck and killed my family, so anyone who's ever driven a car must die'.
Whiskey had the revolver, the overpowered ELECTRIC lasso, the other lasso and the huge knife, while the kingsman had the one gun that they couldn't even use

Harry had just regained his memory and if you remember the bar fight scene in the movie he had none of his skills Eggsy is thinking about keeping Harry alive and he just broke up with his girlfriend

Well thats because the director had some brains in directing it such that as the angles were constantly kept in check, as though the viewers are there themselves as one of the agents fighting. Which made scenes like this a hell lot more epic.

Poor Whiskey. He may have crossed the line by trying to kill Harry and let all drug users around the world die, but I'm still feeling sorry for him. He lost his wife because of some junkies, no wonder he wants to create a world, where no person would have to suffer because of some drug addicts.
And his backstory makes his gruesome demise so undeserving.
I think they should've just knock him out cold and take him into custody, instead of killing him.

@@tenjenk I actually understood Whiskey's point of view. Just like Eggsy was driven to save that idiot princess's life Whiskey wanted revenge on the junkies who killed his wife. Their main goals were rather similar, and Whiskey didn't deserve such an end. And yes, eliminating all drug users would end the drug trade, because no one would ever take drugs again out of fear of the same happening to them.

Exactly, I wish he could've turned back to the good side. After learning a druggie killed his wife I felt so bad for Whiskey, even though he wanted all the people who did drugs to die. Charlie deserved the meat grinder way more. I liked Whiskey's character a lot more than Channing Tatum's honestly.
Yeah I would've preferred it if Charlie got the Grinder and Whiskey was maybe shot again, but then they saved him with that gel thingy like they did earlier.

I don't like that they had a traitor twist. They should've had him be innocent and Harry is scolded more harshly for being wrong, then Whiskey comes in and fights them anyway except now it's cuz he's pissed off about getting killed

I will always be impressed by both the fight choreography and the editing of this scene.
0:24 Eggsy: dodges lasso by making awesome jump. Harry: dodges lasso by falling on the ground.
Don't forget, Harry's grown a bit rusty due to forgetting who he was for part of the movie. Merlin pointed out earlier that it would take time for him to be as kickass as he was in the first film.

It's so funny, in the cable car control room, rusty super spy Harry misses the guy with his tranquilizer dart. Then he has to clunk the guy with the fire extinguisher, "terribly sorry!"
When Eggsy dodges the lasso, the loop is up and open for him to dive through. When Whiskey swings the lasso at Harry, it's sideways, cutting through the stools. The only move Harry had to avoid it was drop the way he did. He may not of got the dodge, but he gets that great angry "Fuck you," look when he's pulling the lasso over his head.

I watched both movies about 2 days ago and I love this series. The King’s Man comes out a couple days before my B-Day too. I love the action, the comedy, and the story but something about Kingsman fight scenes feel so different from your average Marvel/big budget action movie and I really appreciate it.

It was supposed to be Channing Tatum, but unexpected scheduling conflicts came up, and wasn't able to put as much time into Golden Circle as was needed, so the script was changed.

I found the meat grinder death a bit extreme. I kind of understand where Whiskey was coming from. He lost his family because of a tragedy caused by meth users. Also, he was mostly helpful for the majority of the film. It’s not until this scene where we know for certain that he betrayed the kingsman

This is ridiculously well choreographed. You can tell how smart, tactical and highly skilled all 3 of them are.
You have to give Whiskey some credit. Fighting against two Kingsman was just too much. He was done from the beginning.

Just like to point out that whiskey was so unbelievably good at fighting he held his own against 2 incredibly skilled spies.
Fun thing to try, watch the whole video but keep your eyes in the centre of the screen. The actions scenes were made in a way where it mostly happened in the centre so the audience doesn’t have to move their eyes constantly
