I'm from Fort Pierce but I grew up in the Daytona Beach area and it's great to hear you guys' tips and experiences fishing in those areas and all other in shore areas!
I found big pompano in high tide in NC are caught 30yds past the second bar. Ive caught smaller to medium sized pompano in and right behind the troughs. Kure beach was too windy . Heres my question surf fishing. If you throw a 6oz weight and it still moves after upgrading from a 4oz sputnik with a pompano rig. How do you throw live bait? Do you free line live bait and let it run abandon your beach cart and get to walking?
That’s awesome Daytona beach and New Smyrna are my home main fisheries Heck ya y’all!! that’s what I’m talking about been hoping y’all would do a podcast on this 🤘🏽. Love y’all’s podcast and have learned a lot from y’all!

Any experience with goofy/banana/'pompano jigs? Does that style of lure fall under the same style as small casting+jigging spoons?
Check out hey skippers video he covers these goofy jigs
